Ghost Saber - Hunters pet

Im in the ruins of mathystra and i cant find any cat figurines. Do anyone know if they possible to get and for horde.

There is no "Alliance Only" barrier to getting Ghost Kitties for Horde Hunters.  The figurines ARE THERE, but you're going to have to look around to find them.  And even when you do find one, it won't necessarily spawn a Ghost Saber.  You may get a vendor bait trash item instead.  The Cat Figurines do not require being on a Quest in order to spawn or interact with the items.

Just remember that the Ghost Saber you tame will "expire" on a timer after you've Tamed it, so once it has been Tamed, go ahead and start feeding it meat or fish to raise its happiness (as normal) and understand that it will just spontaneously "die" on you of its own accord after like 3-5 minutes of existence and despawn.  Simply do your Summon Pet whistle and then Raise Pet to bring it back and start feeding it again.

And if you're going to the trouble of getting a Ghost Kitty as your Pet, you are practically obliged to get Prowl for it once you're in the low 30s, so as to make it "doubly transparent" when it goes into Stealth Mode, making it almost impossible to see.  Makes it the ultimate Pet for Eyes of the Beast ambushes.

The figurines are there, I've opened a number of them.  I've never seen the saber spawn on this server, though.

I've seen a couple of hunters running around with one. So it does exist. I have heard it takes a lot of effort to get it to spawn though.

The spawn rate is low.  Most of the time you'll just get vendor trash.  Since Ghost Sabers are Level 19-20, it is recommended that your Hunter be at least Level 20 so that you can Tame a Level 20 Ghost Saber if they spawn as Level 20 rather than 19.

Probably a function of high server population on Elysium.

Trick question ... do you see many mining nodes or herb nodes around Mathystra?  If you don't, you're probably not the only one who's been there recently.

I searched for 1h and no figurines at all... Absolute zero! All herbs in their places and ore respawned multiple times after I mined them.

Normally I'd expect the Cat Figurines to respawn at the same rate as the Mathystra Relics ... which is to say within 5 minutes or so.

I have nothing substantial to say. I will comment, however, that I got one to spawn on my second try on Anathema. Don't remember when, but it was after Elysium started Nost 1.0 back up.

I have this pet, confirmed working on Elysium. Tamed at lvl 20, spawned it three times over 2 days but failed the first couple of times. Came back with a heap of stam gear, def gear and pots - it will kill you easily at lvl 20. Doesn't have claw 3 though which petopia says it should have.

I tamed a lvl 20 Ghost Saber as a Troll. A little information:

* You'll have to get the flight path at Zoram'gar outpost (east of Ashenvale) or Bloodvenom post (Middle of felwood, lvl 50+ mobs)) for these are the closest fp to get to the Ruins of Mathstra (RoM).

* Since its an Alliance territory they can kill, you' won't be able to hit them untill they start hittting you. If you come to die, the graveyard is down in the south of Darkshore. Its 15 min run from there back to RoM.

* Once you're there you'll have to able to fight of Naga's around lvl 20 ish. So you better have a pet with you (that you'll obviously will abandon) to help with the fight, if you're lvl 20 that is.

* As for the figurines, there most commenly located near blocks of ruin. The respawn time is 5 min. There are like 7-8 of them around the pit.

* I used to do a route where i would loot 4 figurines and once the last one was looted my first one would be up again. (Note: fighting naga's inbetween)

* My first Ghost Saber spawn was after 20-25 figurines... then I got killed by an Alliance while taming it. It took me another 20 for the next spawn so I would guess it has a 5% chance of spawning. (This could be verry wrong, just a wild guess)

* A good tip, always put an ice trap before you open a figurine. You might die while channeling if you don't use one.
