East coast USA, constantly 250-350 ping while others are 100-150?

Not sure why my ping is always this high, I have 80 down/80 up internet, I went to OVH speedtest and it said my ping is 100ish to the france servers, yet its always 300+ in game. Is their something I can do to fix this, are other players from USA experiencing this as well? Any feedback is appreciated.

Maybe your client is just displaying the ping wrong. try a reinstall I guess? with 8 mb/s should be done in no time at all. I'm on the west coast and I get 180 ping which matches my connection to the speedtest france servers. Maybe your isp is also doing something weird which throttles your connection to foreign servers that aren't homebased in america

This has been a problem for a lot of NE fios users for a few weeks now. I've had constant ping spikes to over 500ms then it holds. This combined with the packet loss is unplayable. Apparently Verizon is throttling bandwidth to certain 3rd party programs/games and elysium is one of them (which is completely fucking illegal btw). The only answer I've found is to use a VPN to bypass the shitty fios problem.

Have a buddy going through the same issue the moment he swapped to Verizon's Fios.  Has 1 Gb/s connection and 700 ms the second he pings Elysium.   A VPN would be worth the cost, just don't go out to eat 1 time in a month and it covers the cost.

I play with 150~ in Arizona.  With WTFast i can float to 130.  Too cheap to drop the money right now.
