rock biter or windfury for solo / pvp

Hello i am fairly new to the forums and i am leveling a shaman.

 

I was wondering if rock biter is better than windfury for leveling and general solo pvp. I am an enhancement shaman and i like both weapons AND....

 

ANd...well i notice rockbiter is scaling with my level. The attack power at each rank goes up the higher level i am. SO i really love that massive melee damage and i also love the agility gear giving me crit.

 

I honestly don't know if windfury has been capped in this core so you can't get infinite procs. The proc feels like 10% because i auto attack forever and rarely get windfury procs. Any ways any help would be appreciated.

u have 2 options

1. flametongue 1h+shield

2. windfury 2h

rockbitter is bad.

windfury is top damage but damage is mitigated by armor so FT is bypassing armor due to being magic damag but a lot lower than WF proc.

windfury 2handed vs the rest.

i think, but not sure, is 20% inner proc rate with 8 sec interanl cd.

Rockbiter always doing the same damage, which scales only with your attack speed. Critical hit chance and miss chance are stats that used by any enhancements, so let's skip them.
Windfury(the part which gives extra attacks) dependant on the such stats as weapon damage, weapon speed, strength(AP), other buffs(like warriors battle shout, which boosts Attack power etc.); so it's possible that with bad gear Rockbiter weapon would give more dps output, speaking from solo/group pve perspective, where you staying in one place and hitting the target constantly.
 

No point in flametongue if you don't have lots(depends on the level) of +spell power, even if you facing druid/warrior. Since to do the same damage as it would be with rockbiter/windfury, your target needs to have 50% damage reduction from armor or more(with ~equal ranks of enchants), not to mention that flametongue uses spell crit stat instead of physical(the one which you get from enhance tree talent).

Also, you should never forget that in pvp: Burst > DPS. If you play on Elysium,you should be prepared for ganking.
