Questions about the BC core.

Recommended Posts

How long has it been in development?

Any word on Beta launch?  1.5 years?

When are you going to show us videos of it.

Will it be open source on github?

There is 1 question i asked that is the most important, it's a loaded question.  For those that understand it, please push for Elysium to answer it.

It was released back in 2010 and used , today it will be same as it used to be with some extra bugfixes, (bugs with 2010 standards of knowledge).

This might happen really soon (assuming) winter and i believe it will be straight live instead of beta .

Maybe they will , but this could probably happen upon live release.

Depend on Crogge , but i don't think so. (maybe).

Where was it launched and used?  Any links to more information?

Thank you for the responses btw.

Theres no evidence that what killerduki said was false, it seems he has informed himself of the situation.

@killerduki Absolutely none of what you said has been confirmed or even talked about by the staff. Except they're definitely doing a beta. I'm pretty positive almost all of what you wrote is wrong.

That's not correct, BC core don't have any MaNGOS code lines, it's done from scratch from ascend TBC core as far as i know.

Ignore what he told you. We won't be re-releasing CroggeServer, but would rather expand our own core.

An important question is: since there are going to be 2 servers will there be a cross realm BG/arena functionality?

It's possible , but depend on Elysium if they are going to implement or not.

In the past they already said multiple times , they wont do it , but we never know.

Why don't we go ahead and ask Gummy over here to work on ElysiumTBC, that way we get that custom tbc core he built from the ground up(You know, the one that's super stable and bug free and got a cease and desist from blizzard literally the day it launched?)

Current information

  • Currently, we do not have an ETA, more information will be provided as soon as possible in regards to when the TBC realms will be available to players.
  • TBC will use different resources and will not impact the bug fixing/content polishing of our existing realms.
  • Once the server is live, Anathema players will be the first to transfer across.
  • Characters will be copied like the PTR realm. When your server is able to proceed to TBC, your characters will automatically be copied over.
  • The existing realms will not close, and all characters will remain on their respective realms as well as being copied to the new TBC realm.
  • TBC will be released in stages to ensure quality is paramount. We will have Alpha and Beta stages.
  • If you have any questions, please take part in our next Q&A session where we should have a bit more information. Check this out.

As they say  "We will have Alpha and Beta stages."
