dorick 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 Hello all, First, I hope that this message is gonna be posted in the right place, i'm hardly a forum expert. I wanted to start playing on an elysium realm today but I can't seem to connect properly, though I really don't know what's missing. I've created an account, I've downloaded the 1.21.1 version of wow (I think it's the english client, though it makes no difference I'm sure) and did change the realmlist to the correct one. However, when I try to enter my credentials within the game, it tells me I have no account, etc. I'm pretty sure I'm not making any typo in my username/password, so I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have a similar problem or any clue how to fix it? All the best, Dorick.
thecrazyscot 16 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 Game account and forum account are 2 different things. Have you made 2 accounts?
dorick 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 Yep, I actually only created the forum account when I started having issue with the connection.
Zancon 117 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 The most common cause of issues like this is a copy/paste error in your realmlist file. Make sure you remove any additional spaces that operating systems like to add when copy and pasting. Also make sure that you don't have additonal spaces in your username or your password to the game server. Next most common cause is installing to to the default game server install directory such as"C:\Program Files\" or similar. Please make sure the game client is installed to a backup drive or a folder on your desktop or really anywhere but the default program files locations. Private servers will not run from there.

It really drives me crazy. I've double checked all of these, and can't point to the source of the problem. Where did you get your installer from? Maybe I'm using a faulty 1.12.1 version? That really is the only thing that could not work right now, as everything else has been verified.
DarknessCalls 8 Report post Posted May 21, 2018 If your realmlist file is setup correctly and you still having issues, then you probably have a corrupted client.
