Pre 1.4 Darkspear Trolls reputation

Hello fellow gamers

 

on the new pvp server im going to roll an undead warrior but im concidering changing my choise of race to troll due to the pre 1.4 raptor mounts. im in love with the ivory raptor and it will be my nr 1 goal to obtain. however im wondering if it's possible to become exaulted with darkspear troll as an undead before the mounts will change into the armored versions.

Hello @V4lla, i've done a bit of searching around and found an answer to your quirie, got pretty lucky in doing so actually!
Googled "1.2 patch notes" came up with http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Patch_1.2.0  and did a search for the word "Mount".

In "General Changes" of the changes in patch 1.2, the second clause says that 

• Players will now be able to purchase and train mounts from other races in their faction. However, you will first need to obtain "Exalted" reputation status with that race in order to do so. Mounts of the opposing faction are not available for purchase.

Unfortunately for you this is a change that occured in 1.2, and our server at Elysium support 1.12. I'm afriad to inform you that you wont be able to attain the mounts of other races. But who knows, maybe this can be changed in a patch.

Edit: Someone said in discord just now that they bought another races mount while nostalrius was live. It's likely this was brought out in a patch designed by nost staff.

Just so you know; OP, Elysium will be saved into the Nost core, so it's likely that if it did work back then then it will when the project is finished and launched.

Just so you know; OP, Elysium will be saved into the Nost core, so it's likely that if it did work back then then it will when the project is finished and launched.

 

You can buy another races mount, not another factions.

You can buy the mounts of all races in your faction once you gain Exalted reputation with them. So an undead can ride an Ivory raptor eventually.

As to op - you will have a hard time to reach exalted with Darkspear Trolls - because the cloth donation NPCs will not be available on Elysium PvP at launch. So you need to run to Durotar as a level 1 (you'll probably hit level 2 from exploration XP) and start doing the Orc/Troll starting quests. I would recommend using a vanilla database to identify all quests that give Darkspear Trolls reputation and do them when they are valid to you - grey quests give significantly reduced amount of reputation.
