Dungeon's Quality?

Recommended Posts

Are all dungeons will be the way they was back days with epic challenge to complete every dungeon or it will be just the other private servers that dungeons like Ragefire Chasm and The Deadmines will be so easily to complete without effort?

For example Servers like Dalaran WoW claim that its 100% retail-like version of Wrath of The Lich King, but when you enter the Wailing Caverns the final boss "Mutanus the Devourer" (aka murloc) never leaves the water and it look like a stone ready to be smashed. I hope we don't have that behavior by bosses rare elite mobs on the new Nostlarius server.

This is exactly one of my Reddit questions from the Q&A. From what I get from their answer, they are discussing this internally but haven't come to a conclusion yet. I for one am for this change all the way.

And to answer your question on the last boss of Wailing Caverns, that boss stood there because of bad scripting. I have good reasons to believe that there will be no mobs or bosses that will do that on the new servers.

I just need to feel the nostalgia, running from mobs that calls for back up. Is another way to enjoy and laugh but also scared not to die while I play it. Vanilla was all about working together with the players in order to progress in the game. There you build your friendships and cooperate with each other and eventually leveling up. The modern wow doesn't have offers you that feeling, because you're only focused on the end game content.

Dungeon Finder, Raid Finder, Heirlooms, Solo low dungeons and raids reduced low level creatures capability to counter you while you progressing into the game have destroyed the enjoyment of the game and it its why that people don't talk to each other while playing inside dungeon and raids. Its kinda feeling that those people are bots. I just hope to experience vanilla the way it was back in a days. Maybe in a few years we can experience The Burning Crusade as well?

Dead mines ship at the end can be tough if you have a group that keeps body pulling the pats on the ship itself.  Also if your dps is bad, might wipe on last boss with the adds or if a dps or 2 don't try to help CC them.

Most things in this game are easy when you know what to do and execute properly.   What makes things harder is the inability to control the other 4 people in your group and relying on them to use common sense when playing.

The Nostalrius core is top notch.  Everything is as close to accurate as you're going to get, with thousands and thousands of people reporting bugs and inaccuracies on a continual basis.  You will have to strategize every encounter based upon the composition of your group.  Just like it was.  Skill is at a premium, just like it was.  Knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses and how we work as a group in this environment, is an intimate thrill...just as it was.

I'm actually really looking forward to slogging through  BRD again : )

Oh wait, I see what you are referring to in the reddit synopsis.  I'm not sure why they would want to revisit tuning.  Is there some technical reason this needs to be re-examined?  It was perfect the way it was in every dungeon I can remember.  If not exactly the way it was, it was relatively perfect with the ability to wipe at every corner with level appropriate gearing.  You could wipe just getting in to deadmines on Nostalrius, due to all the mobs and if people didn't stay tight around tank; butt pulling.

I'm trying to think of a dungeon that didn't require surgical, methodical team work.  I'm not coming up with one.  Unless, of course..you're way over-geared.  I'm thinking of something hardcore like Strat UD.  Geez, I can't tell you how many times we wiped in there.  That one's a real tank tester.  Pulls have to be so methodical with everyone on their toes.  Even people I would deem over-geared die in there all the time from one simple mis-step.
