Ah, the actual test is tomorrow.  I was wondering why I was getting disconnected when I tried to log in.

Registered and ready to help!

Cool dudes are appreciated. But people should be aware that not everyone speaks every language. So if someone is, lets say, looking for help, then writing in kyrillic letters is not as likely to be responded to as if it were in english. English is spoken by most players i would think and therefore should be the main language to be used in public chats in-game, as it is being asked by elysium staff already.

I will never be arsey, like you put it. If someone writes russian in public chat i will probably just ignore, with the feeling that it's a pity in the back of my mind that i can't understand what this player has to say.

Anyway, i am so thrilled right now for the release and let's crash the server tomorrow at the stress test :D

Yes, but I believe his point is that it is awesome to see people from different countries, cultures, and dialects all banded together in peace for the love of the original warcraft.  :)

And while not everyone speaks those languages, you can easily open another tab for https://translate.google.com/ or even some internet browsers (such as chrome) have built-in translators that can be activated by right clicking and clicking "translate to _" so you can just as easily get hyped with them as well as the speakers of your language.  :)

And we are all thrilled for this epic event! :D

Edit: Cool dude is epic too B)

Dear community,

Registrations are opened for the stress test. All accounts will be removed before launch.

What does "All accounts will be removed before launch" mean exactly? I assume I must create a new one. What will happen to my previous account? I hope I understand this correctly.

My understanding of this is that your accounts from Nost/Old Elys will not be touched for this event. You will register for the event, creating a new account that has no relation to the other accounts, and it will be used ONLY for the stress test. After the stress tests are over, the accounts that were made specifically for the stress tests will be deleted to make way for the real accounts. Before launch is referring to the launch of the real live servers, not the launch of the stress test servers, so when the real launch comes, if you don't have a nost/elys account already, you will need to make a new one and you can't use your stress test account.

I hope this clears it up for you! B)

You're correct.

The old Nostalrius and Elysium accounts people played on are inactive at the moment, safely stored away. For the two stress tests, everyone needs to create a temporary test account. Those accounts will be wiped & deleted after the tests. For the actual launch, you will either use your old account(s) to log in or, if you're a completely new player, you will be able to create your permanent account and then start playing.

Remember that one account is sufficient to play on all three realms but that forum accounts are completely separate from game accounts.

There is no exact duration set. We will see how many people login and how things go. Once the developers have logged sufficient information, it will end. We are talking about hours, not days.

Please make sure your DNS settings are setup like the pictures below, this should avoid any connection issues.
