killerduki 54 Report post Posted November 23, 2016 (edited) Prot Paladin- A tank with no taunt? Relies on getting crit for mitigation (lol) This has nothing with the Paladins reality. Feel free to visit my Youtube channel for pure details about this in Dungeons and Raids (see the playlists) : https://www.youtube.com/user/killerduki Ret Paladin- Often beaten by tanks. If you saw a meter of a ret doing good on a Feenix realm its due to a bug that was around forever, their actual dps is trash. This is not true entirely , in Feenix Seal of Command was doing 50% Critical instead 100% Critical damage , it was not scaling from Spell Damage and from Sanctity Aura , neither it's Judgement was working at all where you seen many Judgements doing 0 damage without Resists. фекал Tier Reckoning Paladin: Yeah I saw that video too. While you stand around and do 0 damage waiting for a rogue to give you 5 stacks, everyone else is dead. Skill level: 3/10. Since this is PVP and not PVE Not true at all , you can wear Tier 2 and heal group during PVP while building up the Reckbomb stacks and then full Bomb on someone to 1 shot (probably enemy Flag Carrier) which can cause Victory for your Team. My constructive criticism for this is : don't talk stuffs you know nothing about. /Kind regards Killerduki Edited November 23, 2016 by killerduki

Dispril 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2016 The document is nice, but it is important to chose your class/race combination on what you actually like to play, and not what is considered the "best" as you are going to be stuck with your choice for a long time (or you will quit because you do not like the combination you have made). As for the speccs with lesser viability: Vanilla isn't tuned that hard that it doesn't allow for some of the lesser used speccs. And there are advantages to bringing utility over pure dps as well. You may not be able to join an elitist "try hard" guild, but if you are running with "sub optimal" specc those guilds aren't the ones you would like to be in. As for choosing the race when it comes to priest alliance side: If you are really into min/max human > dwarf for pve in the long run. Yes, fear ward is nice for certain fights in the early raids, but you only need 1 dwarf priest for to have the tank fear warded ( my retail vanilla alliance guild didn't get a dwarf priest until we were in aq40, and had no problems in clearing all the content prior, so either ppl wants easy mode or they are just bad players). The 5 % more spirit humans have is always good, and gets even better when you have 3 T2 items and darkmoon trinket. Choosing NE will give you an easier time when leveling, as you can generally avoid getting corpse camped. Shadowmeld and stars shards also has its uses in general pvp. So my general point is. Do not feel forced to chose dwarf (even though ppl that do not play priests say that you have to) if you do not like the race, there will be a raid spot for you in any case.

Shaylin 6 Report post Posted November 25, 2016 Eh, any guide that throws things together like that, usually is not worth its salt for anything. It looks rushed and not well thought out.

It's supposed to be a quick guide, not a detailed one. It's summarizing information that people have gathered over the years. killerduki 54 Report post Posted November 25, 2016 It's supposed to be a quick guide, not a detailed one. It's summarizing information that people have gathered over the years. Best Guides are Quick ones as always i must admit , with all the written info everyone will have full information why his decisions are thrown like that. Just as Reference to his Quick Guide : Paladins should not Raid or PVP , don't play Paladin according to his Guide, if you dare to play Paladin then throw your self and delete World of Warcraft. /Kind regards Killerduki
Shayss 43 Report post Posted November 25, 2016 Paladins are incredible healers with the best utility spells out of all the healers. Resto Shamans are cool aswell, WF is nice, but paladins are next level healers. Just because prot and ret are not so good for raiding, doesn't mean paladins are bad.
