Will there be Expansions?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am really excited for this private server as I am having so much fun playing Vanilla WoW. I had my first experience with WoW a few weeks ago but my friend told me that the best way to experience WoW is playing a Vanilla private server. So I did (Kronos) and its been so much more fun this way.

My only question is will they be releasing the expansions overtime just like normal WoW??? I know this server is mainly for nostalgia and what not but it would be really awesome, to me anyway, to experience WoW the way you guys did back in the 2000s.

Anyway, just thought I'd ask. Irregardless of the outcome I will definitely be playing the crap out of this server!!

Cheers :)

Someday in the future there will be Burning Crusade.

But I think this will take a while, because devs main focus after successful launch of all Server is to make Naxxramas great again :D

Aaaand sometime after that there will be a BC Expansion :) But I would not count the days yet ;)

They said that they are thinking about it. But this is quite far away to discuss it seriously.

For me, I liked TBC very mutch, so I would be glad to experience it again

Thanks for the replies,

yeah i am not too fussed as i have the whole vanilla WoW to experience and thats probably a good 300 plus hours. Just curious as it would be really awesome to experience the evolution of WoW, even if it may be a lot different to back then. Really looking forward to playing the server with everyone :)

Cheers

IF there will be expansions it will probably only be TBC, and first on the old Nost PvP. So even if there is TBC in the future you can still opt to play on Fresh PvP which is far behind.

A bit early for this question imo.

We can't be 100% sure on Elysiums conviction and dedication to this project. I know, I shouldn't think that way, but I am a sceptic at heart.

(Though I admit my hopes are very high for this projects future)

Hey thanks again for the replies.

I know this is off topic but I didn't want to start another thread. I have been reading on which types of realms there are going to be and was a bit confused. I know that PvP means that it is PvP everywhere and that PvE means no PvP but you can toggle it on and off. But what is a fresh server everyone is talking about? No clue what it means.

Thanks for the help,

Nahcal

Lots of the work was already well underway on Nostalrius for TBC...so the groundwork is truly there already.  They just don't want to think about it at this time and that's totally cool.

The fresh server will also be PvP....but from the beginning as the Nost PvP server is @ patch 1.8.
