Anyone ever notice this?

Recommended Posts

So I noticed today that some of the races have unique starting clothing specific to class selections. These include Nelf Warrior, Nelf Priest, Troll Rogue and Troll Shaman. I'd also like to note that Dwarf and Human Paladins have unique racial clothing but I am not sure which is the outlier since there are only two races to choose from.

I really hope this isn't a revelation but I can't seem to find anything that explains this oddity. Does anyone know the reasoning behind this? It is interesting that the only unique racial clothings are among Trolls and Nelfs. Both have close ties to nature and I remember reading they both derive from a common ancestor. This could also indicate a potential favoritism of these race/class combos but that might be a less likely scenario.

Please share if you know what the reason behind this is. I am certainly interested in the answer!

Whelp, they probably just wear what they can find when they get out of bed in the morning.

No deep meaning.

My fashion sense.

@OP Warriors start with different weapons as well depending on the race.  Some sword and board, some 2h Axe....... sorry if I just blew your mind.

Depending on race you also start with different weapons for the different classes. For example, Orc warriors start with a 2H and UD warriors start with sword and shield, just like humans...huh...

The wow back in vanilla focused heavily on role playing and details.

The starting gears were catered to the cultural background of different races and classes...
