Make your launch day easy/no downtime

1* Create acc on any other 1.12 vanilla server

2* login to that server you picked  ( I muck around on kronos II )

3* Create your char you want to play on elysium/nost on launch day

4* Login to your char you just created

5* Log out

6* Go to https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=605

7* Go to https://forum.nostalrius.org/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=605&sid=dda7fc29e75114a90353659b40e7e571&start=10

8* Download any addons you like ( tones on page 2 halfway down the page google-drive )

9* Download addons -> Extract files to  WoW/Interface/Addons

10* Best to just do them all at once

11* Got all your addons ?

12* login the server you picked

13* Bottom left corner click Addons -> Enable all -> Click Load out of date Addons

14* Set Script Memory (Mb) top right corner to 512mb

15* Click Okay

16* Login to your Char you created earlier
17* Customize all addons how you want them setup on your UI

18* Test addons by killing mobs / healing / take dmg / invite friends / randoms to your party

19* Create any keybinds you need for your class, Even if you don't have the spells yet

20* Create any macro's you know you will need and save them

21* Step 17-18-19-20 can take many hours to get it 100% how you like it

22* Once your completely satisfied on your UI and setup

23* Log out

24* Exit Game

25* uninstall you suck. naaa jokes.

26* Go to WoW/WTF folder

27* Open WTF folder

28* Open Account

29* Open Your Account you created earlier

30* Open Server you picked

31* Open the char you created and setup addons / UI / Macro's / Keybinds on earlier

32* Copy everything you see here   ( select all -> right click -> copy )

33* Paste on desktop or wherever

--- Once we can create our new accounts / get our existing accounts back from nostalrius / elysium team

34* On the 17th / launch day depends what server you pick
 change your realm list to

set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org

35* Login to the server you desire

36* Create your class you played earlier in step 3

37* Logout

38* Paste or put them files from step 32 into the Wow/WTF/Account/(username)/Realm/(char name)/paste in here

40* Exit

41* Launch WoW.exe

42* login to your account / char and enjoy your level 1 on Elysium with a fully ready UI with all binds and macro's ready for when you get them skills at higher levels.

 

Short version,  Copy all the фекал from your chars file( test chat )  to the new char you create on launch day.  Enjoy.

 

All addon commands etc will be hidden in forums on the net.  Google that фекал.

Apologizes if its not noob friendly, I tried to simplify it.

All I do is change the realm list from one server to another and everything stays the same no matter what server I'm on.

That did not work on stress test. You needed to delete/rename/whatever config in WTF

i find a fatal flaw which is that day 1 you require me to exit the game? direction 40 in your "short" guide...

Ill be having fun leveling with crap addons and worrying about that later, So not when theres a giant queue

 

not like i ever needed them lvl 1-30 anyways.

For me, I definately needed to go elsewhere and get my basic raidframes set up in advance- at the very least (insta 60 realm).  That one takes some time and the ability to mess with uninterrupted, something I don't think I'll have much of for a little while once we go live.  I don't use many Addons, but as healer I need something better than the standard interface.  I think I generally use 5 Addons.

 

I'm really looking forward to running a few dungeons with guildies as soon as possible in a leisurely fashion, so that we may relearn our connectedness and interdependencies and do some little tweaks to whatever we got going on in our UIs.

Just trying to help people out that are new to all this,

And like ellipsea said, Going to a vanilla realm- somewhere you can set up macro's and raid frames is great so not having to do it at all in the future.

 

For example

Having macro's already on my bars at level 1 for skills i don't have is nice,  Never have to open my spell book again while leveling. Each time i visit the trainer while leveling and get new skills. They are already on my bars bound to my desired keys and ready to go. Stance dance macro's for equip / interrupt / overpower macro's etc etc. All bound and ready for when i get them abilities.

 

Don't mind me, I'm just excited.
