Zealotz 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 hahahahaha there will be so many legion noobs and chinese on elysium it will be unbearable. not to mention a HUGEEEE queue old nost will live I mean How's it going to be different on old Nost ? Genuine question. This server will also attract masses of mindless legion noobs.
Zodish 1 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 it sadly wont be, it will be the same mess in both realms, just a few more legion wannabes in fresh realm It will be different, cus people will naturally be spread out more. A good chunk of the people playing on the old server will be 30-60 and thus spread out around the entire world. This will reduce lag compared to the fresh launch, where everyone will be forced to play in the same zones for a considerable amount of time. Unless you manage to get ahead of "the wave" you will be in for a rough time.
murray 5 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 arucado, you posted this shortly after reunification announcement cringy childs? also lifealert you are pretty inconsistent in your thoughts originally according to you, majority of old realm's population consisted of chinese farmers and afkers now that you decided to trash talk the fresh realm, suddenly the fresh server is going to have all of the chinese... get it together man
Xom 8 Report post Posted December 13, 2016 All the drama and trolling aside, how big is the difference going to be between Fresh and Nost servers? Sticky post lists the patches, but it tells me nothing about average level of players and how many fully-geared players there are. Speculation is all you can expect at this point.

But it's true that the old server had a lot of chinese players that afk'd BGs and farmed lotus. That's because I would be in burning steppes/dire maul area A LOT and I would BG A LOT. Many will agree with me. I have reason to believe many of them will go to the new server because: 1. The hype that's been created 2. They need to have control over the new server's economy as well as the old for maximum money making 3. Tons of people on the new realm are going to buy gold for their level 40 and 60 mounts. nufasa 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 Why are people hating on "Legion noobs"? I played Vanilla when it was retail, and just learned about Nost because of the controversy over it and am now coming from Legion to Nost. I'm sure a lot of people from Legion are going to come to Nost and hate it and quit, but many others will enjoy it and share in the love we all have for Vanilla. Why would you turn down more players who are eager to enjoy and support this? You guys are just sounding super entitled like if you have played past Wrath you don't deserve to play on a legacy server...

Exactly what they want you to do do delay the inevitable death of Old Nost. Lifealert 19 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 (edited) Play the old server if you actually want to have a reasonable time leveling instead of having to fight over mobs for hours on end just to get one blyat quest done. I agree with the guy above me. Shut up you damned hypocrites. Edited December 14, 2016 by Lifealert
Allelujah 1 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 If you are wanting to experience WoW. I would chill out for a little bit. Once the realm opens to the public it's going to be rather crowded. The good thing with the re-opening of Nost realms is that there will be less new characters in the starting zone rather than when the fresh launches. If you don't mind being in competition for quest kills and items for a week or two then you'll be fine with either. Otherwise just play on the re-release. That's my best bet for you.
Lifealert 19 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 I was there for the original launch and I can give some quick pros and cons pro: of course it's nice to see a ton of players everywhere easier to form dungeon groups for dungeons that aren't ran a lot like uldaman and bfd easy to find people for group quests battlegrounds will pop in the low level brackets frequently. Don't expect this to last long. large group wpvp, but only lasts for a day or two as people will want to focus on leveling again con: Takes forever to finish the initial starting zone quests. expect to be stuck in northshire for 5 hours cutthroat competition for quest mobs and world item spawns. You will rage guaranteed mass gankings in STV/tanaris. expect to be dead more than a lot. No level 60s to protect you. no chance at leveling professions as everyone else is trying to as well no alterac valley to help you get 2 free levels from the OP quests
Undertanker 88 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 In all respect, on Nost launch (after several hours of issues and people could play) there was only 2,400 people and it grew stead over the first week well over 3k. The popularity is here, expect the pain we went through to be at least 2x as worse. Granted we didn't have dynamic spawns like the will, the pain may be equal factoring that in.

They should do it like K2, make a queue starting at a few thousand and then steadily increase it as the hours pass and people spread out. They also lowered viewing distance to minimum, which was annoying but it killed almost all the lagg. I remember disconnecting and sitting in a 7k queue on K2 during the first hours, annoying but overall good for the server.
ropman 1 Report post Posted December 14, 2016 I plan to roll on PVE simply because I don't enjoy getting ganked nor do I enjoy ganking people. 99% of the famous vanilla world pvp is just ganking lower lvls or attacking when you are in an advantageous situation. Especially with the nost population, it will be absolutely unplayable. When it comes to fresh/new server choice, I don't care about this that much. I like playing on established server so I can actually quest and not camping mob spawns etc. Plus the better economy means it is easier to make gold for mounts or any other gold sink. Some people might be afraid that they wont be able to join groups or raids when they are behind but with such population I don't think this will ever be a problem. Since I am not a hardcore player I would be behind even on a fresh realm. I would be waiting for mobs to respawn in overcrowded zones while the hardcore players would get to every zone among the first and be leveling much faster.
