Not receiving Verification Email

The strange thing is that I recieved the forum activation mail a week or two ago, but I am not recieving the account activation one now.
I've tried to resend once, but have not dared to do it again, as the server might think I am spamming. If there is a GM online - can you manually activate it? You will see its been logged in with the same IP as my forum account

I still haven't received either the forum activation or game account activation emails on my Yahoo account.  Since I don't seem to be alone, I don't think there is anything further I can do on my end.  Any Elysium folks able to help?

I'm still striking out on this. Afraid to request the email too many times too...

 

In the 2 hours it took for my email to come through, whether it was down to the return key or not, i resent for verification at least 40+ times...

For anyone with this problem, whitelisting the domains...

 

elysium-project.com

elysium-project.org

 

...worked for me -- it didn't work with just a .org entry.

 

I have a private email server and domain so I have complete control over whitelisted domains and addresses. Hopefully Yahoo and others may also have this option.

My 2 Cents here:

 

I tried with 2 different german mail provider web.de and 1&1 webmailer did not receive a verification mail after lots of tries.

--> Gave my gmail account a try and it worked directly. So it seems there is some problems tith these, and probably more providers

any update?? I really dont want to have to create a new account with a new username and a new email I wont even use just to create my account? Are there any updates on fixing this??

Got the same problem. Already generated the code and transferred my character, but now I can't access my control panel because I am not getting the validation mail.

 

To play or transfer characters, you need to verify your email.

It seems like I could transfer my character without verifying my account.

This is the situation I am currently in and I am worried that they may ultimately just come back and say to use a different, working e-mail. People in our scenario could be potentially facing lost characters because we were able to put the token in before the verification e-mail came (consuming the token) without issue, but now we no longer have access to the control panel. Let's hope they issue a fix B)

We're currently working on getting this particular scenario fixed asap. The ability to transfer characters without your email being verified was corrected several hours ago.

Just to add more info to this.  I registered my account at around noon Central US time yesterday.  I then resent the verification email about an hour after that.  I finally received the verification emails this morning at 5:30am and 8:15am Central US time.  Needless to say, they were invalid by the time they arrived.  So, they are going through, but VERY slowly.

 

Maybe just extend the lifespan of the verification emails to 48 hours?

I had this problem on my BT Internet email address (BT is my ISP - biggest UK net provider so this could be a big problem for UK players). I used this BT email address for the stress tests and it was my old Nostalrius email too without issue.

 

I created a Gmail after trying to re-send the verification multiple times without luck and it worked instantly!

 

Unfortunately though, I then saw this on Twitter asking to use our original Nost emails (I would if the website let me!!):

I can't receive verification at my email address either!  I completed registration over 24 hours ago & still nothing.  Tried resending confirmation several times.  Added elysium-project.com & elysium-project.org to my whitelist & nothing.  It's a gmx email account.  I need to register this email account because that's the email I have my characters under on nostalrius.  Any progress on this?? Help!

You don't have to use the same email account.  It makes life a lot easer to just go ahead and make a new gmail account.  i did eventually get my original attempt on yahoo about a day later, but by that point I already had the accounts registered on gmail accounts.

You did not have to do this. Just use another email like gmail e.g.

Please ignore what the others posted above, although you can use a different email (as I explained above I had to do this myself), those of us who were forced to go down this path now face investigation, please read the following tweet guys:

That was written at 1pm yesterday.  You can certainly wait it out and that's totally cool, this is the way I see it in another thread:

 

the operative word's there are "potential" and "investigation".  I wouldn't worry because when that was written was before we realized how bad the email situation was.  The other thing I'd like to mention, is the thousands of accounts that were created before we even had email verification.  Like one of mine.  No avoiding creating a new email account for those.

 

 

I'd think of this more as: driving without your seatbelt on.  You really won't get pulled over for it, but if you do something else wrong, it's certainly going to be brought up. : )

Like most people on this thread, I too, am having trouble receiving email validation to my control panel so that I may register my token.

 

Had a yahoo email originally and with fail and waiting 24 hours with no luck of an email I switched my account over to a gmail and still no luck.
