For those of you who have not played Vanilla.

 

I am truly jealous of you,

 

you are the real winners of all of this

 

You are about to experience what video games were made for

 

that feeling of waking up and absolutely zero choice about what game you play

 

the feeling of talking and laughing with your friends who you slay dragons with

 

The feeling of struggling to get a pair of boots that fit

 

the joy of exploring the vast landscape full of surprises good and bad

 

The content that is entirely player made and makes you take a step back with the true beauty of mankind and what we are

 

you my friend are in for an adventure, and to Blizzard for making Cataclysm and allowing the real world to be new to so many players I thank you.

While reading through your words I have actually felt this spirit for a second and looking forward to a full immersion in a few days Even though I have played a bit of Vanilla before, I still feel this adventure is going to be the most epic one!

I never made it to 60, I am exited to play a new class on the fresh realm and derp around with talents, gear and tactics. As I'd like to explore these myself and that's where the fun and challenge is for me.

I didn't get to play in Vanilla but did get to get a good chunk of the leveling experience starting shortly after BC launch. 

Unfortunately they had already started making some changes, but I do remember how much more I enjoyed leveling my first time through. 

Dying regularly, getting lost regularly, stepping into a new zone and thinking OMG THIS IS AWESOME! Each zone like a new game. The joy of each yellow flash as I leveled up, finally getting my mount at 40 and the epic at 60, which at that time meant stepping straight into Hellfire for me. 

 

It was such an amazing journey, even if long and full of struggles. But that's what made each level up so rewarding. Thinking "man I can't wait to hit level 38 so I get this spell!" or "just 6 more levels and I can put a point into this ability!" 

I miss the little things you had to work for more than the big ones. I'm hyped, and so ready for Saturday. I'll actually have to set my alarm... on a Saturday...

It looks like the Yandex and Mega content is removed.  I got mine from a torrent a while ago, that appears to still be there.

Yeah I remember I loved the warcraft series specially TFT, and when I started playing wow vanilla, I was super amazed by walking through the maps. The game was so beautiful.
