Wanting to play a lazy class. Which one is the most lazy?

Recommended Posts

I've played on WotLK servers as a raid leader Tankadin, (On a server which was x1 and the raid bosses had increased hp/damage) Cata as a Tankadin guild/raid leader, MoP as a Holy Paladin, and then when I joined Nost a while back I was playing as a Tankadin while leveling...

I have a 48 Paladin but after looking into it... I don't know if I should keep playing her when the server reopens. I think I (for once) want to try out as lazy/stress-free dps class.

Does anyone know what class that would be? I don't care about PvP, I just want to level PvE and want it to be a chill and relaxing way to 60. (Also what race with whatever class you suggest. I am a big time min-maxer so I need a definite on the best race for it.)

Buy a mouse wheel with infinite scroll, bind frostbolt to scroll down, scroll down and go grab a drink. For even greater laziness, macro Arcane Power and ZG/ToEP to frostbolt.

Mage all the way, apart from polymorph or decurse, all you will do is spam frostbolt or scorch + fireball

Does the water you learn to conjure help speed up leveling as well when trying to get 60? (Also what's the best PvE race mage if you know)

Heh 2 comments, 2 people saying mage. So far I think I might go with that suggestion. Any idea on the best race for PvE mage?

As soon as you learn a new rank of water it is probably not going to fill up even half of your mana bar with one drink, but it does save you money. Race doesn't really matter, gnome gets 5% more int but they are very short.

Heh. Alright thanks. Trying to decide if I want to go troll or gnome atm...

BM Hunter is the laziest leveler you can get. You barely have to do anything except feed the pet. You can shoot the lowest level of welfare bullets all the way to 60, assuming you even do that much. You could just melee the mobs. An interesting challenge would be to go 1-60 without ever firing a gun, but as BM, it wouldn't be that difficult. 31 BM->Imp Raptor Strike done. Some players went 1-60 without using any talent points, or while only wearing gray items (no greens or above); now these are hard.

What's the best pet for that? (And got a link to the build/race to play as)

sure as hell hunter LOL. rotation is pretty ridicilous and dmg output ( especially in earlygame ) not worth to be mentioned in comparison to other classes. I really enjoyed going auto-shot afk, eating proper dinner, watching tv shows and actually paying attention, rolling stuff, all the kinds of things, while clearing MC and rolling on dem lewtz and maybe hitting aimed shot or multishot once in a while to keep mana on 50% so raidleader thinks im actually playing... also, you dont really have any responsibilities.. no need to buff anyone, no need to make food, soulstone someone etc etc. you dont even need ur pet. Besides kiting once in a while, which is literally just running, your live is pretty damn easy. If youre doing a mellow job in dps, nobodys gonna be mad cuz ur just support anyways ( especially in earlygame ). All this basically applies to everything besides PVP as a hunter... farming, questing, dungeons, raids, leveling... man I miss my old hunter....

P.S. Lock is also comfy as вау for leveling

If you're still talking about Hunter leveling; it doesn't matter much which race or class you go with. As BM though, I recommend Scorpid. This thing has high armor in the first place, so the +armor talent turns it into a brick wall. This is combined with solid DPS. Its weaknesses are that its slow, lacking any sprint, and doesn't have enough energy to pay for it abilities. BM solves these problems. Get the swiftness to move it along, and slot 2/2 energy to pay for its abilities. The result is an all around killer pet that laughs at mobs. Another weakness though is that it only eats meat. Other pets have easier diets. Boars will eat ANYTHING. Cats can eat fish, which you can promptly fish out of a lake. Wind Serpents eat fish, cheese, or bread (Mage food=bread). Meat is a picky one, requiring you to farm it directly from mobs that drop it, or cook it. Buying food is generally a waste of money, and something you probably don't want to do until you're a 60 who doesn't care anymore about the cost of level 45 vendor trash.

Build by level 40: http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#cV0GzxgRp

After this point, ideally you'd go Marks the rest of the way up, unless you really like meleeing.

Do you know what talent spec is the best in our version and the versions that'll come out? BM, Marksman, Surv, etc..? And what the best race is to play a hunter?.. Along with is a bow, gun, or crossbow the BiS item for them? (And thanks for all that info. Sounds like what I want. I'm tired of playing a class where I need to lead or have a ton of stuff to do on my shoulders.)

Sweet, thanks a ton for that build man. Even if the race doesn't *really* matter I still have my inner min-max loving mindset that I need to satisfy or I won't be able to make one :l And oh snap hunter pets have skills in Vanilla that's right. I never knew that. I only rolled a hunter once in Cata for PvP madness.

i remember leveling with a friend, he was troll enh shaman, i was troll hunter, but tbh races and talents dont really matter as long as you go BM. man we pulled like 4-5 mobs which were 2-3 levels above us in every level zone and cleared everything without any problems, just sending in ITSMYPETLOL ( RIP in peace btw ), multishot and continuing writing my thesis

also, feign death is like heaven.. no corpserunning anymore, no painful rebuffing, regen etc etc

It's in the name...

"Huntard".

Blizz's favored child...appropriately named: Earl Z. Moade

"I needs that bizzatch..." - said every huntard ever, Vanilla

The moment someone told me as a hunter leveling you can just send your pet in and auto attack I was sold. I'm going to make a hunter. And from the research I've done it appears that for PvE Troll is the Min-Max best race to play as a hunter. Not for the bow spec but for the 5% dmg to beasts and the berserking buff.

(If this is wrong someone please tell me. At this point I'ma make myself a troll hunter tomorrow)

Well you haven't said which faction yet, but it really doesn't matter on Alliance. You have 2 solid choices, so it's better to just consider whether you'd prefer to be Night Elf the rest of your life, or Dwarf. Play both in the starting area for a while if that's what it takes to decide.

Horde has more to consider. Orc is a winner at melee with axes and as BM (pet damage), but both of these become moot at 60 when you focus on ranged and dump BM. They can retain their value in BGs, but have no use in raids. Tauren is a solid BG choice for its defense, and the health can be somewhat helpful to survive boss fights, but Troll is hands down the winner for PVE. It's not only a solid choice for leveling, but nice in raiding too.

It's been sooooo long since I heard that song. Used to listen to it on repeat when I was like 10 playing WoW with my friend. Good lord.

It's not wrong nor some joke. By 40+, the BM pet is so OP you barely have to do anything in fights. It can literally solo mobs, but if you don't do anything to help, the mob will not reward XP. You need to auto attack, at the very least. This is to prevent people sitting AFK with the pet on aggressive getting XP for nothing, which you literally could do, if this restriction didn't exist. Typically your strategy is to just hit Scorpid Sting (dot+auto attack), then do nothing else, while your pet eats the mob. When you pull groups is when you need to actually pay attention. But by using a trap or fear, a decent Hunter can easily tackle 3 mobs. 2 aren't even much of a fuss if you simply use mend to keep your pet up, and switch his target to hold aggro.

I have a 48 Human paladin right now.. But I'm on the PvE server so I can always make a horde. I actually welcome the idea of making a horde.. That is if they have any Raiders on the horde side. The entire time I was in Nost people just trashtalked the horde saying they had no good raiding guilds so I hope that was just bs. I'm just going to be PvEing so I guess I'ma make myself a Troll. Hopefully I can make one that looks decent, I always spend like 30 minutes making a character then remake it after I get in game a few times before I'm finally happy.

Thanks for all the info man!

And a scorpid is good for leveling right? I read somewhere that in raids you don't even use your pet... But for dungeons at end game I saw that Broken Tooth has a 1 AS. Is he the best pet, or is there another?
