Helel 0 Report post Posted December 19, 2016 Because of the sheer number of players that are going to be coming to the server and to the new Elysium server when it drops, the spawn rate on both gathering nodes (i.e. mines and herbs), and on world quest items (i.e. Milly's Grapes) should be variably reflexive according to how frequently they are being picked up. Otherwise, getting crafting professions up is going to become a terrible chore (Mithril especially), and people are going to be horribly bottlenecked in certain areas that have a lot of these sorts of quests. It isn't nearly high enough to offset the abnormal quest bottlenecks created by servers with many thousands more players than intended. The word "blizzlike" does not apply here, and never did. You can't invoke it. Unless you're cool with reducing the player cap to "blizzlike"... I fully support the OP's suggestion. There are a few quests that I skipped over entirely because we're talking about a mass of 20 players in one spot waiting to loot one thing with a 5 minute respawns time (emerald dreamcatcher). 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Software 9 Report post Posted December 22, 2016 We're looking into adding quest objects and quest containers to the dynamic respawn system (DRRS). Herbs / Veins / NPCs are already on the DRRS.
