Farming?

Now that DM East has been buffed, I'm having trouble taking down the packs. I'm sitting at 5400 mana unbuffed. Would it be possible to still do it with consumables and maybe PI? Or with more spell damage gear? I noticed I run out of mana before most of them are killed. I'd like to find a viable way to farm as my herbalism is basically obsolete as everyone is farming plaguebloom.

DM:E hasn't been buffed. Only an extra patrol has been added and Jump runs have been nerfed.

 

I would recommend getting one of the many mages farming DM:E to buff you (trade for a Fort buff) OR carry some Elixir of Greater Int with you (cheap on AH, +25 int for an hour).

 

That Elixir/Int buff will give you enough mana for another holy nova.

Even before this u needed at least 6k mana so yea..6k mana gives 11 holy novas

i farm dm east with 5,479 mana. very easy.

if i don't have luck to critical strikes (rare situation), i use some cheap health/mana potion, or desperate prayer.

inner focus ,before pull ,helps a lot to.

I personally found out that around 6,000 mana is where you can be really comfortable with farming lashers. I guess it's a bit less then if others are doing it with smaller mana pool. I suggest using Smokey's Lighter and Burst of Knowledge if you don't have good passive/active trinkets already. That's what I used a lot when I was farming the lashers, and eventhough they both have 15m CDs you just switch them around accordingly. And the Inner Focus+Holy Nova as others have suggested but I guess you probably already know that.
