Fury BIS lists BWL

Recommended Posts

Hey

I find the gear setups interesting for fury bis, so please share your setups. Is it with or without world buffs, and what race?

Will post some myself later.

Will post some myself later.

I'll just copy an old post I hade on Nostalrius forum:

A BWL BiS-List would look approximately like this:

Note: The weapon combinations can vary alot though depending on Edgemasters and race. Crul'Shorukh, Doom's Edge, Cromatically Tempered Sword etc.

EDIT: HWL/GM items and weapons would also take a few spots here.

wait wut? vis'kag over cts? is the proc really that powerful? even so, it would be a better option to go with vis'kag+cts offhand due to the dps/stat differense from maladath

As I said, this was a copy-paste from Nostalrius forum. On nostalrius Viskag had a very high proc-rate if I recall correctly making is VERY OP.

Drake talon pauldrens seems like a big hit loss?

In current gear content its possible to trade between 12-17% hit and 980-+1100 attack power. Also there is ways to change crit % a lot.

With raidbuffs and worldbuffs you'll do fine rage-wise even with 10% hit really. I'd take draketalon over UBRS-leather ones in every situation unless I go bellow yellow-cap.

EDIT: Also, draketalon looks badass:)

Slipry and Lebwski - Your lists reflect my ideal setup aswell.

I did some spreadsheets one year ago, and more hit could also give marginal better dps - An item like Band of Accuria instead of Quickstrike for example. Or Boots of Shadow Flame (even better for horde).

Has any research gone into this? Just wondering since guild is working it's way through BWL and I haven't seen a Vis'kag yet, maybe skip it for CTS if it doesn't hold up any more.

As I'm prot here I havnt gotten my hand on VIskag and thus not been able to test its proc-rate, so no research at all on my part.

Wouldn't you still use Edgemasters even tho you don't have R14 gear?

Not as human with Maladath.

Yes.

And Savage Gladiator Chain have different stats before 1.10 (?) also.

And if you want to take Prestor's all the rogues and hunters in your raid will hate you.

I've done some super rough napkin math on guildies proc rates, I'd say 6% on Viskag (I'm erring on high side, might be little lower). Where would this put it for warrior MH weapons now?

Edit: have been trying to find nost info on proc %, having no luck

I'm playing on Anathema, you can go the blue pvp chest and legs instead. If you wanna find BiS list just use the spreadsheet: https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/47501-spreadsheet-warrior-aq-bis-and-wep-skill/

This is the sql entry for Vis'kag in the open source database. The part of it that deals with the proc is " 21140,2,0,1.3,-1,0 ": 21140 is the spell ID of the proc. The 1.3 that follows 3 entries to the right is the proc per minute value. For a 2.6 speed weapon, 1.3 PPM corresponds to a proc% rate of 5.63%. This roughly corresponds to adding an average of 5.2 DPS making the total about 60.4 DPS.

And how does it match up against the CTS which has no proc/rng with a higher top end damage and raw stats on it?

Vis'Kag can crit based off of physical crit and IIRC provides rage based on damage one /30.   This is why Vis'Kag continues to be a very strong weapon for warriors and why if you are on the BWL patch should give CTS to rogues and Fury take Vis'Kag.    Once you have AQ40 on your server, then rogues would want to MH AQR as they get more out of top end damage with SS spam.

Though on this server, Vis'Kag is currently limited slightly on it's proc due to the incorrect restriction of a proc can not proc itself (should only be Thunderfury and not all items).

ye but full bis is silly way to look at gear among raidingg uilds, Prestor bis forever for other classes while warriors have many other improvements in later raids making it a silly item to consider even if it's marginally better than OTP for patch 1.6. Some people are just too technical about the term "bis" when it comes to a patch to patch basis when people should always consider the logical choices on gear.

Indeed. I cringe at the thought of a guild giving Prestors to a fury if rogues/hunters still need it.
