thiella 1 Report post Posted December 28, 2016 At Nost you could farm DM E easy. Here I tried and I saw that the patrols are running and not walking and you aggro them easy when you farm the packs. Plus the loot looks to be nerfed. Anyone else tried to farm DM E?
ccsolembum 1 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 it is possible, there's a guy who made several hour long videos https://www.youtube.com/user/acegamestv/videos
thiella 1 Report post Posted December 29, 2016 You are right, it is possible. I tried it again. But it's harder now and the profit is much smaller. It make me wonder if Elysium has the Nost core or only the Nost character base....

The mobs are intended to run This video is 9 years old and shows the patrols RUNNING at 0:28. They were never intended to be slowpoking their way through the hall. thiella 1 Report post Posted December 31, 2016 You really can't tell much from this video. The playback is not at normal speed that's why the player is also running.

They did indeed change many things with TBC patch~es ..That also affected vanilla content, people were still doing it, my guild was for example on trollbane-eu. I personally only remember the upper part of dm E mobs would walk and downstairs where you farm flayers they would be speedwalking, I looked around youtube and other sources(RIP google video, that'd provide so much proof) and it seemed to prove my thought and belief, I am however quite very certain that they are not supposed to run very fast considering you were suppose to be able to run through the room with the NPC to open the door for last boss easily.

I remember doing DM:E back in TBC and we would always clear the path of patrols then talk to the treant to start his short escort.

Yeah but I remember that I could run on the walkway with the NPC, pre-tbc
Ram 11 Report post Posted January 1, 2017 I don't get why this was nerfed. Now all mages will be farming other spots (the ones responsible for this nerf should know where) to get to their 50+ gold or more per hour. It doesn't make a difference, whether they farm their gold in DM:E or somewhere else. Furthermore even now after the nerf I get plenty of gold spam whispers. Spending your time on a whisper spam detection system or doing that VPN ban thing which kronos did, would have been a better solution.

Every script improvement isn't some elaborate plan the staff makes to fuck up your gold gain. Edited January 6, 2017 by Blib
Yoga 3 Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Anyone gathered any info how much gold per hour DM E is after these nerfs?

Doesn't change the fact that they made non blizzlike changed to nerf two forms of DM farming.
Cucksupreme 0 Report post Posted March 2, 2017 So, with Elysium coming out with Dire Maul in 4 weeks. Is this still nerfed/non blizzlike?
Moiz 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2017 It's better in the 'nerfed' state since having a sizable number of players running around with 10's of thousand of gold is a terrible idea for those players that don't have a mage, pala or priest. By my count it's 20-30g per cap, not including herbs, rare boe's or bags. On a mage it takes me 4-6 mins per run, depending on how much i care about doing it quickly. So at 6 mins per run this is 40-60g per hour /played, not including the extras. At 4 mins this is 60-90g per hour /played, not including extras. It's still an excellent method of quickly getting some extra gold for stuff you want to buy. The speed of the packs is a non-issue. Hell, you could double their current speed and it still wouldn't matter. It might even speed up the run as you wouldn't have to wait so long for them to sometimes move out the way.
