:) Hi Happy!! I finally just created a guild called Jinx. Very laid back guild. I'm just enjoying the game again. So much to do :)

My personal favorite zone has always been winterspring. Just something about it, y'know?

I absolutely Love Winterspring! :)

definitely my favorite vanilla zone by far. though the nightelf zones are all amazing too :D

Now that I think about it Feralas is also quiet enjoyable to be in as is Ashenvale..... Damn it, the game really is immersive like that.

i feel like I'm the only one who likes tanaris as well. i really like that zone :D

Tanaris is ok.. but it's Ungoro and silithus that I like. I love the crystal caves in Un'goro and in silithus just all the spiders and the desert and the bugs.. just... i dunno.. and all the elementals to the north east.. Vanilla wow has a lot of good zones.

How unfortunate. Silithus is by far my favourite zone aesthetically. The only way it could be improved would be with some dynamic sandstorm weather like Ossirian calls within Ahn'Qiraj.

Any Alliance guy truly interested into immersion, should really reroll a cow just for the early levels into Mulgore right now.

In fact, a big part of Vanilla sucess is the magical atmosphere and various landscapes of most regions, and that the game forces you to walk slowly by them.

You only realize how truly immersive and beautiful the game was, when you found yourself wandeling in the non-released Hyjal, where this is litteraly nothing other to do than be amazed on sight.

Night-elves regions and music association can be quite good, but personally, *that* moment in Westfall, when the violins fades, still get me goosebumps after more than 10 years...

Yes

This and Duskwood almost make me want to play Alliance

Sweet, this makes me want to re-roll as alliance. Always loved the Night-elf areas; also the Darnassus and Teldrassil.

Mine was a Duskwood. It was the 1st arean that felt scary and insecure for me, lot of undeads, worgens! and awesome lore behind it and some of the best quests: legend of stalvan, Mor ladim.
-Stitches
-Dark atmosphere
-dragons of nightmare <3

Really cool to see people discussing just 1... of the great things about vanilla wow. You are forced to explore the zones. A lot of the time just to complete quests,or to break up the grind a little. :)

Screenshots, that's really what Ive missed. Remember the good old screenshot of the day on the wow mainpage? Nostalgic feels are intense. Good to be back!

Agreed. Recently been to Southshore, moving up north to the ogres and yetis - from green grass to snow - amazing!

And casting a nosey eye at Tarren Mill as I run past.

there are many places with great atmosphere. i used to love dun morogh. the music just makes it perfect. it generates great immersion, i guess thats why so many ppl loved vanilla and many got "addicted" to it.

I always loved snowy/grassy areas, others are too depressing. Thats why my favs in TBC are terokkar and NAGRAND. In Vanilla: DunMorogh and the Tauren startzone. Human area is pretty ok.
