So what is the point of Meeting Stones?

Weren't they supposed to help with forming parties for instances? Am I missing something or why are they unusable?

They would normally summon players in your party, like a teleport.

Wasn't it added in TBC? I never played Vanilla prior to this server, but I remember reading that Meeting Stones initially were used to find more players faster, and were then changed to teleportation stones. Regardless, they don't seem to do anything here.

thats wrong. they only helped you to form a group. so the same as the dungeon-find dialogue at the inn-keeper does, should do

Apologies, you are right, I forgot about that. Yeah they used to be a huge annoyance because you'd have to go to the dungeon to queue up

Once BC started, if you had at least two people you could summon other party members using meeting stones.

I need to correct that last part, they were summoning stones since TBC. Meeting stones are vanilla only
