Cannot Craft items I already own (heartseeker)

I tried crafting a Heartseeker for someone.

 

but since I own one already, it says I couldn't craft another.. I tried putting the one I own in my bank but that did not help.

At the loss of a bit of gold, you could sell the one you have, craft the other, trade it, then buyback the old one?

If anyone else has a better suggestion, post now.

If you believe it's a bug, why not post it on the tracker? :)

Heartseeker is unique, so you can't have more than one on your character. Putting it in your bank won't help. You could try the above suggestion to vendor the one you do have while you craft it, but I have no idea if that will preserve enchants, etc.

I went to the bug tracker but didnt see a "submit" button anywhere so i'm not sure how to create one.

My point is that this is not a bug.

Not really a bug. This is something that is intended for unique items. Unique means that you can only have one. This means even if you place the item in your bank it will still be unique and only let you to have one in your inventory. The game considers your inventory to be bank + personal bag inventory.
