So this is how it works then

Made a mistake buying a bit of gold (never played WoW), asked for forgiveness, and the only thing I received is a permaban. Not even a temporal ban, just PERMABAN

 

In the meantime, u can get all the goldwhispers u want since level 1, and seems they are all over the server, untouched.

Its obvious that buying gold is a permanent ban. They take it as serious as botting, we're not retail after all.

 

As part of the punishment for people that buy gold, or bot, they want you to lose everything. So you accept that its bad after all.

 

Also, they take care of the advertisement bots. They just create multiple characters & level them automatically, they can't look on them the whole time. They don't have the time for that.

 

Just use /ignore or get addons.

C. Permanent ban

 

The most serious sanction. This sanction is applied in case of multiple violations of the rules, or after multiple account interruptions, as well as any of the following:

• COD Scamming;

• Hacking;

• Using any means of botting (e.g. a program);

• Any client modification (libraries, executables, MPQ, etc.);

• Revealing the identity of an Elysium staff member;

• Advertising for other private servers or gold selling websites;

• Selling/Buying player names;

• Exchanging accounts, gold, items, or any ingame services for another game's features;

• Selling/Buying accounts, gold, items, or any ingame services with real money;

• Possession of any item(s) or currencies obtained with illegal methods;

• Publishing software, methods or articles on cheating which can be applied on the server;

• Abuse of major in-game bugs;

• Staff impersonation.

If noone bought gold we would nto have gold whispers and the number of hacked accounts would be close to zero.

Did you not read that gold buying results in a permanent ban? 

As Mimma pointed out, of course you get gold seller whispers, you're the reason they do that! That's probably why you bought gold in the first place. Because instead of installing SpamThrottle and ignoring them, you said "50g for $6. Wow! I can get my lvl 40 mount no problem now. If I get caught I'll just ask for forgiveness."

1. Don't agree to server rules if you haven't read them.

2. When has any server including retail given out temporary bans to players for the purchasing of WoW gold?
    The answer is *never*.

3. You took the time to make an account and write a post just to abuse admin.. People who take time out of their day to provide this service to many of us for absolutely nothing in return?

Don't blame the volunteer GMs or anyone else for your lack of common sense, or enormous sense of entitlement.
