pestilencee 0 Report post Posted January 4, 2017 So, i have sent out 3 letters now and too no avail i have yet to receive a response from anyone in this "Project" either their is no staff or they just do not care about the 100's of 1000's of people who are asking Why? Now i myself have a feeling it may have been an add-on of some sort i was using? to receive a ban so be careful with what add-on's you are using i think the add-on that got me banned was my mail or auction add-on which were recommended to me by Frostadamus on his YouTube videos. I have been reading alot of the posts for ban appeals on the forums and have so far yet too see anyone being unbanned. The few people who actually stand up and say rude things about the server i have noticed get a snarky response from the GM's and are always accused of "Gold Buying" i understand gold buying is frowned upon and well on this server "Against the policy and terms of use" But i do find it hard to believe that 1000 people on a private server have been buying gold. I and many others have said that they do not think that your system for detecting bots/cheats/mods/gold buyers has been even close to effect as it is causing many innocents to be either caught in the cross fire or targeted for no reason at all. On a more positive note me and all the players playing and pleading for reasons why and for the ability to be unbanned are thankful for the reopening of the server and thank you all for your hard work. I believe i have not broken any rules for your server and have respected them quite well. I have sunk a large amount of time into my account and would see to it that i will fight tooth and nail for it to be back in my hands. I wont be expecting a response from anyone other then anyone who has also been sitting in the ban appeals waiting day in and out wanting to get back and immerse them self's in the world of Warcraft we have all missed so dearly. 0 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

First off it is much easier to mass ban the gold sellers and buyers. Sure some players do get caught in the cross hairs and they have been unbanned. The reason you don't see many of the unbanned posts is because they are grateful to be able to log back in and enjoy the game again. As for you assumption of addons causing your ban. Since you don't know what caused your ban yet as the staff hasn't stated in your ban appeal. So lets please not cause a scare in saying addons are randomly causing players to be banned. As for you not thinking there are thousands of players buying gold. The server has an average twenty thousand plus players across both realms at the moment at any given time. So then take into account all those who are at work or doing other things in real life. We can easily say there are over hundred thousand plus accounts on Elysium at this very moment. So when digging into this concept just a hundred or a thousand buying gold is not so far fetched now. You also have to understand most of the players never experienced the vanilla aspect. Then they find that it's hard for them to grind gold or even make it. Then they go buy gold because they are lazy peons who don't want to put in the effort. It has already been stated that the anti cheat detection is not fully functional yet. I'm willing to bet pretty much every "I swear I'm innocent and didn't do anything why did I get banned!" people did something, and they know it, and are just trying to place blame elsewhere. You say you have seen other players ban appeals -- that is impossible, ban appeals are private. Just wait for yours to be answered and you will be given the exact reason why you were banned. Lots of people think they will just get away with it on private servers because they don't think anyone actually cares. When they get caught and banned, they of course feign innocence and put all the blame on the staff and the server.
