snes 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Lot of players seem to have AFK showing by their name, even though they are obviously not afk! Is there a bug in the game since the maintenance shutdown?
Microdots 7 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 It has been a bug since yesterday. Both DND and AFK wont clear until you relog.
Nelythia 44 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Its not a bug from what I've heard from GM's. "AFK and DND are now working like in 2006" is in their patchnotes too, so..
snes 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 That's what I thought, so ignored it initially. But then I logged out for a break, logged back in, and it was still there. Puzzled.
snes 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Nelythia, are you saying that AFK should show, as that is what was in the original game? It does simply mean "absent from keyboard" - I haven't missed something here?
Nelythia 44 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Unfortunately I dont remember anymore how it was 2006. But I guess when they say its intended, it should work like it does now.
Celulas 1 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Are they breaking the game so it has the bugs like it did in 2006? i'm so confused
snes 0 Report post Posted January 5, 2017 Me too, in fact, because nobody else has raised the issue, I thought it might be just me seeing the AFK.
Gehere 8 Report post Posted January 6, 2017 Ignore what this Nelythia is writing. Of course there is a bug. The AFK flag does not autoclear itself, nor can you manually clear it. Obviously NOT working as intended. Needing to log out of the game, to reset your AFK status, was not how it was back in retail Vanilla. Or in close beta. Or in open beta. Or in any other Vanilla version. It's a bug.
snes 0 Report post Posted January 6, 2017 So, should I report the bug? If so, how should I do that?

The bug tracker would be the place to report it - but I think someone may already have. Better to be safe, than uncertain though - eh?
