Apox 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2017 Is it working properly on the PvE realm? I had a suspicion during MC tonight and tested it after, I fear it may be bugged. Granted I don't have a ton of spell power to work with, I should have at least seen even a minuscule difference. I dueled a guildy and had him heal himself. I judged crusader on him and dropped a max rank consecrate which ticked for 58 damage. I then applied an arcane elixir for +20 spell damage and dropped another max rank consecrate and received the same result of 58 ticks. Has anyone else played around with it to see? I'd hate to have that bugged as well.

Apox 0 Report post Posted January 7, 2017 Server back up and tested. I found some shoulders with +18 sp in my bank that I used with an arcane elixir(+20 sp). I tried lesser wizard oil but "That spell is not available toyou." +38 spell damage added 1 damage to the tick of Consecrate. Went from 58 to 59. I can't get a solid accurate read on how much it benefits seal of command. But I can't see an upside of gearing spell power. i do too well with crit.
killerduki 54 Report post Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) @Theloras This is the problem as i have mention before , Consecration does not variate damage and it is using "flat dmg" . It is not sensitive on damage changes and ticks damage are fixed. Currently in server : In order to get 1 damage you need 24 Spell damage , in order to get 2 damage then you need 44 Spell Damage. How it should work , first ticks should be higher depending on your spell damage , last ticks should be lower if you don't have "full amount" spell damage increased. Example for 12 Spell Damage , your first 4 ticks should tick 1 damage extra , last 4 ticks should tick 1 damage lesser. It should be sensitive upon weapon swap and procs , the damage should go up and down midd ticks before they gone. /Kind regards Killerduki Edited January 7, 2017 by killerduki
Theloras 108 Report post Posted January 7, 2017 (edited) yes I know that the consecration dmg is static and its damage calculation is fixed at the time of the original cast on all private servers whereas on retail vanilla it would variate depending on if any of the following were added mid cast: - you get a crit and gain Vengeance for +15% Holy damage - you turn on Sanctity Aura - you Judge Crusader - you drink a Greater Arcane Elixir or Flask of Supreme Power - get a Nightfall proc Edited January 7, 2017 by Theloras

judgejewdy 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2017 you just use seal of command with fists and it always does the same damage
gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 8, 2017 (edited) AoE spells do not scale very well with spell damage. For example, Blizzard only receives 11% benefit from spell damage. On my mage with around +130 frost damage, Blizzard only gained like 4 damage on each tick. Try using Seal of Righteousness, that scales with spell damage IIRC.
