make the spawn rate normal

Doing the quest in Ban'ethil Barrow Den. The spawnrates are so bad, that I felt I needed to stream this and show you guys it needs to be fixed now... this random group I was in shouldn't have had to die this much and have to deal with so fast respawns that we had to stop looting to slow it down a bit. the video is the one where I have a chat box on my screen in darnassus on the bridge. you will see, later in the stream, how ungodly this is.

If they would slow it down you'd be complaining about not being able to kill mobs. This is the better of two evils imo. Just stick to 1/2 mob spawns and grind those.

The spawn rates are stupid, I don't need to grind them, but it sure as hell makes that challenging quest even worse, someone I know that has done that quest a фекал ton of times, saw my recording, saw how fast they were respawning and even said it wasn't blizz like.

As it stands, being in a qeue for hours and hours and hours, I only get to play for about an hour, lol. I did see the respawn rates were way too high, however until they fix the qeues ... at least it gives me something to kill when I actually do get in. I can skip areas like that If I have to.

Okay that is a hard quest, the respawn rate on normal for those mobs only. is good enough, a 5 man group has a hard time clearing that area with what it is currently at...

The spawn rate is a function of people near dying mobs. On a server with 5k+ people online at all times, and currently, almost all in the early areas, you'll have - blizzlike - crazy spawn rates. I can't even get into the game, and, when playing, might agree with you that it's still too fast, and  I can definitely see how that sucks. But it's probably just bc so many people are near you - you get the good with the bad if you play on a crazily populated server.

We have dynamic spawn rates based on the amount of players in the area. This way, when theres 1000 people in a zone, you dont all have to wait 5 minutes each for a respawn. We could turn off dynamic respawn and you may hit 60 in 3 months if you'd like.

The key word here being 'dynamic', as opposed to artificial timers that relate in no way to the reality of the server population.

I support this post, even though I do understand the trouble is causing to players trying to clear/loot mobs.

Let's hope things will settle down with time :)

P.S.: one major point, I hope a GM sees this - please have a look at items respawn, maybe you could make them instant or thereabouts, there's loads of people waiting for a specific item to respawn.

Trust me, you don't want normal spawnrates. Duskwood & Wetlands have normal spawnrates = you can't finish any quest because everything is dead.

ROFL!!!!

dynamic spawn rates for mobs, but for every ваууing questitem we have to build lines, that don't even work, and wait hours to have the chance to get a questitem.

where is the logic? this is ridicoulous!

spawn rates work off the traffic of the area. quite bitching and keep grinding.

This is the philosophy Blizzard gave the game - dynamic spawn rates were part of vanilla, probably are part of current wow; and quest items were bottlenecks. The queues suck, the dc's suck; but don't give the developers of Ely/Nost shit for implementing stuff blizzlike. Spawn rates are just fine from what I've seen.
