What direction should i go?

Recommended Posts

I recently found out about this project and got hooked since it reminds me of the golden days when vanilla wow was my life. nostalgic tear in my eye. It feels like this is one of the better private servers out there. I have never played private vanilla before and dont know how long life span there is.

I dont have much time to play. Kids and full time work and so on.

Would it be a good server for me to join or will it die down in a few months before i even make it past STV?

And also what server would you guys advice me to join?

Currently playing at nostalrius PvP mostly of the queue.

It will die down quite a lot in the coming months but given how overpopulated it is at the moment, that is a good thing. The server is not going to die, there are a huge number of players interested in this.

Nostalrius, which is what this is a continuation of, had 800,000 total accounts, 150,000 active players when it closed, and they got 300,000 people to sign a petition for Blizzard to make vanilla servers.

These numbers are very large compared to the small number of private servers that there are - there is a huge demand and will continue to be the case for a long time.

Alright i'll stick to this then. Would it be a good idea to roll over to the fresh started Elysium Pvp when the queue gets to a more stable state? Seeing how many 60s there is on the Nostalrius server.

If you enjoy competing for mobs in quests and having 6+ hour wait times? Play Elysium.

If you enjoy being able to level and a comfortable pace without having to wait around all day just to finish a quest? Go Nostalrius.

Ok. I rather play than compete indeed. The doubt i had was because back in the day i found myself on a dead server and had to transfer just to be able to do anything at 60. Dont think i will have the time to hit 60 anyways but still!

I'lI stay at Nostalrius PvP than.

See you all ingame.

I myself was on a medium population server in retail. That is not the case here. You are going to be astounded at the amount of people on Nostalrius alone. I akin Elysium to being in the clown show zoo that is a North American Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve.

Nostalrius doesn't die. It only grows stronger.

Stick with the established Nos server. You're a man with a life. Playing on NOS PVP or PVE will probably be easier moving forward as it seems so many people are flooding the new servers. It won't matter to you anyway, you won't be the person who can grind all day every day anyway. So play where you can sign in and get right to the game and not have to wait in a queue, although sometimes that might happen regardless.

I would say stick with Nost PvP. The beauty about vanilla is people will always be doing all content, so you will be able to easily find a guild to progress through all the raids. The only reason people should go to the new server is if they are rushing for server first/second/third etc. If you have a life Nost PvP is great, there's also always new players there so you'll always find lots of people your level.
