Ban for Character Screen AFK? (Elysium PvP)

Clearly this is still an issue... 9.6k people online and steadily decreasing population for the past 4 hours? Meanwhile, over 6k people in queue...

The capacity is >11k, but only 9.6k online? That means between 1.5k and 2k are sitting on character screen avoiding a logoff.

Throwing a thousand or so bans will eliminate that issue. Make them sit in queue like everyone else or ban them.

Is there a solution in the works for this again?

Banning from just being in character screen seems illogical, some people do actually build their characters and names for several hours, thinking what name to choose. So how would you know who is just afk and who is not? Of course if that can be tracked somehow, that would be great.

You look for repeat offenders who are otherwise on 16 hours a day.  Anyone with 24 hour uptime that isn't account sharing is cheating the system.  No exceptions - ban all of them.

Instead of banning, the clever thing to be done should be a change of the timer where you can sit on Character screen panel before getting disconnected.

As of right now you can stay for more than an hour and a half without getting disconnected, which is way too much in my opinion.

Same goes for ingame AFK, it depends of the size of the queue but if it's around 2k, disconnecting all players AFK for something like 10 min (which is 15 min total), would in my opinion totally delete the queue.

Of course, this is only a suggestion.

As of this post, there are 8,657 showing on Elysium PVP and i'm 4,651 in que. Something stinks here... I get 2-3 hours a day to get to play 6 days a week. This isn't working.

Same issues again, AFKTIMER bugged. Fix it asap pls, it's a MAJOR BUG.

I'm not asking for a sweeping ban. There are several intelligent GM's on this team. There are a few stats you can analyze that would reveal who should be punished and who should not. In this case, I'm sure the evidence would speak for itself and it would be an easy choice for about 2,000-3,000 individuals.

No. Elysium needs to solve the issue by adding an auto disconnect. This queue is outrageous. Been in queue for 3 and a half hours, started at 10K, now ti's at 5K. means that It's about 6-7 hour queue atm. That's insane.

Dude if it takes you several hours to build a vanilla WoW toon , You prolly shouldn't be playing . There are literally 5 sliders .

That is a bit harsh. We do hand-out temporary suspensions for being AFK and botting of course earns the culprit a permanent ban.
