Population

Recommended Posts

Just curious, wanting to roll over here instead of dealing with the assholes on Elysium PVP but it seems to me like the server is pretty empty.  If I level here, will I find people to group with as I level.  Will I find people to run dungeons with as I level?  Will I find people to raid with?

Kind of feeling like I should just deal with the assholes and questing on Elysium.

sure it is empty feeling in comparison to the new server, as on the new realm everyone is still all bunched up at low levels. This server is a bit older thus more spread out now, but is still VERY healthy.

Haven't played on it myself but it should be pretty healthy. Although the consistent ~3000 concurrent players seems low, that's only in comparison to the massive overgrown PvP servers that run way higher than normal realms. 3000 players on one server in Blizz terms is still a "High" population. And the server is still fairly new, it hadn't got very far when it was shut down. I expect the population to return when people get sick of the ridiculous queues on the new server.

And the server is only down near the 3k mark during off hours like late US and Oceanic Hours. During EU prime time it is in the 6k range.

The PVE Server is at the brink of being OVERcrowded, no idea how you think it "feels empty" ;)

What race did you roll?

Westfall and Redridge are always very packed, whereas the Nelf areas are more sparsely populated.

There is more players on PvE then the capacity that blizzard used to have in retail vanilla. There are never enough Druids.

Lonely leveling experience? I've been competing for mobs alot the last 15 levels. Is definitely NOT lonely.

No. That's not the case. Starter zones will feel empty from time to time. But the reason for that should be obvious.

yea just as a thought.  a lonely leveling experience.

Why don't you just come to Zeth'Kur? In case you missed it, the Elysium team opened a second fresh realm today because of the insane amount of players wanting to join Elysium and the resulting unbearable queues.

It's the same as Elysium, pvp realm and fresh start just with no queues.

We'll welcome you! :)

I've got 2 alts that I'm leveling, an 18 rogue and a 46 mage and believe me, there is no shortage of groups for dungeons for either of them.  I did multiple runs through SM, ZF, Ulda and Mara on the mage since the server re-opened here.

Don't recognise what the OP is saying.

At least on the horde side there are too many levelling. You have to group up all the time otherwise you can't can't kill any quest objective because  they've already been killed. I prefer to play this game solo as much as possible but you struggle to do that because of the number of other players killing the same things as you are.

Last time I've checked most players are still leveling, and therefore if you are lonely at level 60, try leveling an alt so others will catch you.

This is true

i´m currently leveling, i´m a 39 mage at the moment, I´ve done all instances up till my level range, Deadmines, Stockades, Gnomeregan, RFK, RFD, all SM runs, I don't see what the problem is, sure the grouping takes a while, but this isn't retail you can't queue RDF, welcome to vanilla.
