Blizzard threatened legal action if Nost kept running their server, so they shut it down....but then they go and release the server core and character data so that someone else can keep running it, yeah of course Blizz is going to be pissed, so what Nost is doing right now is most likely just appeasing Blizz lawyers. This just fucking REEKS of Blizzard shenanigans. You don't just run a private server for 2-3 years and then turn around and say "we don't want anything to do with it anymore, we're all about official servers now!" no, that doesn't happen. And you'd have to be on all kinds of insane drugs to think that shutting down private servers will coerce Blizzard to release official legacy servers. I think Nost is just trying to do the right thing with regards to their supporting Blizz - but yeah, the timing is suspicious. They have been leaning in that direction for a long time, if you go back and read all off their announcements over the last 7-8 months. gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted January 14, 2017 Yeah, they've always been kinda supportive of Blizzard, but at the same time, they openly handed the core and character data over to Elysium. And now, less than a month later, they're turning right around and disowning themselves from the server, and trying to stop Elysium from using it. I'm 99% sure Blizzard has Nost by the balls.
