GM just banned my friend? WTF mode.

tl;dr: My friend got banned and doesn't want to post a ban appeal, so I posted this in the general forums to garner sympathy for my friend. Everything else is just he said, she said, and pointless speculation. The only people who know why your friend got banned are your friend and the GM who banned him. Posting here isn't going to change that.

I'm positively giddy at the, arguably unlikely, prospect of being proven right, my friend did nothing wrong, and wonder how all of you will feel about that. A wrong being righted. Trolls BTFO. Glorious.

I really hope it's true, but I probably don't have to convince anyone of that...

Take the screenshot? Why you have a low level warrior and a low level hunter while your friend is in his twenties?

Stop lying because you did something wrong. If you didn't and it is actually your friend, shut the fuck up and wait for the process to take place. The fact that you are so adamant for a friend and won't shut the hell up about it makes you look guilty.  You're playing on a free server, where people have volunteered their time.....Why would you believe that your friend has less to gain over the GM? Your friend is emotionally invested after level 20 something, the GM doesn't give a shit and is doing this out of pure enjoyment of the game. Who has more to lose? Your friend has more to lose by losing his account, the GM has something to lose by NOT randomly banning their account due to respect and word of mouth.

Madae, on Elysium. Low level Warrior? She is 60. Like I've said before, I don't play on Elysium unless I'm trying to pass some time. He played more than me. I was torn between the free DAoC server, which started a day before this one, and the new Elysium server. I chose to play DAoC. He would have rather played WoW, but I had a hard time finding interest in it, especially with the launch troubles and changes (fast spawns, for one). Ultimately, we will play DAoC, mostly because of this situation.

Everything else you said is just conjecture, uninformed and pretty stupid overall, considering it has been covered multiple times in this thread. He isn't "emotionally invested".

He uses the same naming convention for most of his characters in any game. It could be one or the other. Again, he played this more than I have. I don't remember which name he used, and actually neither does he. That kind of happens when you don't give a shit.

I don't mean to say this as a way to disqualify Elysium's team(you guys are awesome), but I really wish we had a GM or Dev like the ones in Warmane, boy they would have already posted a SS proving that the OP is infact guilty to humiliate him in front of GD, ban him for being a crybaby shitposter and close the thread.

It appears that the OP seems to think that he should be given some kind of special treatment. The fact is that his appeal (on behalf of a supposed friend) should have been dismissed out of hand. The GM process here is usually to give out warnings and bans for repeat offences. This is probably what has happened here. The GM in question received a report, investigated, and banned the offending player. If the banned player felt it was unjust, then it is  up to him to appeal and the case would be reviewed. The OP has absolutely no business in this at all.

It appears to me that the only business the OP does have here is to throw the server and staff into a poor light. To this end he has made false accusations, forwarded innuendo and proved nothing. He has also threatened the server if he doesn't get his way. This should be enough to get him banned from the forums and possibly the game.

Bottom line is that the OP is simply another drama queen shouting out for attention. Quite sad actually.

I like that the staff here does not do that. It may be a bit satisfying to see, but taking the high road and not publicly sharing things like that (In my opinion) shows a respect for the player base.

You and your friend are both named "Mal" or "Mad", after asking for proof of your hunter, you posted your warrior and you don't even know the name of the friend you so adamantly defend? You're blaming the GM's for not enough truth and possible bias on be-half of your friend and you don't even know the characters name? You're this invested in this thread and threatening to slander the project on a whim when you don't even know the friends name? Please go try and slander the project and see how far it gets you with your lack of anything.
