Hello ,

I wonder if it's just me who is bothered by line of sight. I mean there is no line of sight. Cant hide behind trees, fences and even some structures. im playing in elysium pvp realm as a warrior. And thats really annoying to be hit by ranged classes behind all textures in game. Is it normal for Vanilla or bug ? Can someone explain me that plz ? By the way i can charge from behind them too but im not happy with this. Cuz ranged classes got more advantage then melees. i mean in some cases , line of sight is whole thing of the warriors in vanilla.

It wasn't this bad on Nostalrius. Its really broken right now. Mages hiding down the ledge in AB by the blacksmith wrecking havoc on you. In my opinion, things like this, where they know they shouldn't be able to shoot through a hill, should be classified as exploiting and result in a ban.

It's tough as a melee right now. Though at least they said they just fixed vanish.

Yup , its kinda bad, i noticed that while leveling.

If the mob started casting something, and you hide behind tree, he will cast that spell no matter what. Its usually like that.

Its should be reported in bugtracker

You guys do know in vanilla most shit isn't LoS especially not objects like fences or trees usually. The famous wsg stump is a big example of that. I'm not saying that there aren't some things that should be los that aren't, but a lot of things in vanilla you think would be los are not.

Enemy stealth detection is also insane, but when a npc is in stealth, its lvl 9999999999999 stealth. O well, things will get better, elysium is doing some nice fixes.

Being able to fire through walls is not how it was in vanilla.  Had some scumbuckets attacking horde from outstide the wall at grom'gol last night.  vanilla wasn't perfect with los, but it wasn't so blatantly bad either.

grom gol walls are bugged, like a few other things. but most things in the open world simply didnt block los

Guys, firstly try to get any proofs otherwise there no logic, now it's a blizzlike, on some servers it's no able to cast through and this is not a blizzlike.

Only proofs, it's a game, there no real physics.

So TBC with arenas introduced LOS then?

There has always only been a few type of models that have blocked line of sight, trees, terrain/ground and other small objects have never blocked line of sight, you can even go on retail and check most of this stuff yourself.

the tree stumps, fences, cart among other things still do not block LoS in wsg on retail, and they never have.

Either most of you have never played retail or simply forgot how it was because you've gotten used to broken servers.

No. WSG base and buff houses blocked LOS in vanilla but trees/stumps did not, which these servers handle correctly. AB Stable/Farm/BS buildings blocked LOS in vanilla but things like the cliff at BS did not, which again, are all working correctly here. Maybe some things in world zones are bugged but battlegrounds are blizzlike.
