Altersparrow 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2017 As the title says, I've been playing on Elysium and am thinking on maybe trying out the other servers.
Nelythia 44 Report post Posted March 11, 2017 Darrowshire (PvE) and Zeth'Kur (PvP) have the best blizzlike experience.

Zakkur 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2017 Anathema(PVP) - More content at higher levels, leveling might be boring due to less levelers and more lvl 60s Darrowshire(PVE) - Pve, if you don't want to get ganked Elysium(PVP) - Highest pop, not alot of lvl 60 content. But lots of people leveling to play with Zeth'kur(PVP) - Low pop, same timelime as Elysium but if you don't want to meet people
Geston 15 Report post Posted March 12, 2017 Ultimately I think it comes down to 2 servers, Anathema and Elysium. Darrowshire and Zeth'kur have had pretty steady declines in population recently so they may be a bit risky to start fresh on. Anathema is the oldest server(its the OG Nost server) thus has the largest amount of content of any of the servers.(MC,BWL,ZG,ONY,War Effort in full swing,AV) Its population is a bit lower than Elysiums sitting around 5-6k during peak hours. There is a clear gear gap between a fresh 60 and an old 60 due to the amount of content available so catching up can be tougher but not impossible. Elysium is the older of the 2 fresh servers and easily has the highest population of any realm. Nowhere near the amount of content available as Anathema but if its a fresh start you want Elysiums the realm for you. The biggest downside of Elysium besides less content is you will experience a lot more "world pvp"(ganking) due to way more players leveling and being in the open world.
Roxy 8 Report post Posted March 12, 2017 Darrowshire is at a perfect condition, with blizzlike population. The decline you are talking about is initial hype slowly coming to an end, if anything, the number of active raiding guilds have increased lately

Go anathema for an older server, Elysium for a new one with high pop or Zeth'Kur for a new one with low pop.
Chef 7 Report post Posted March 12, 2017 I'd advice you to pick one of the "less populated" servers. Darrowshire for a PvE server experience (if you don't want to get ganked while leveling or herbing but want to sometimes engage in world PvP as well) Zeth'Kur if you want a PvP experience with brutal world PvP and ganking. Original vanilla WoW was never designed to be a game for 6k people. Retail servers were capped at 2.5k players back then. Sure some of it was due to technical limitations but the game was designed with lower playerbases in mind. They didn't even expect every server to reach max capacity. TL;DR The huge playerbase can make some quests troublesome (while others get easier) but the worst part is mining and herbing since you got more people fighting over the same resources.
