Hey all, curious as to what classes are over-populated and under-populated for both factions if anyone has a clue. Obviously I will pick a class that I prefer over one that I don't but if a class I like is less played I wouldn't mind picking that over the others, and also just curious to see what the current situation is like in general. Thanks :)

warlocks on alliance are valuable and in pugs theres almost none of them in my case. in terms of raid spots, my experience is that hunters, mages, and rogues are not very needed. i could be wrong but thats just from what ive seen. pretty much any healer is needed and easy to get a raid spot but theres few druids

i would say shadow is also a hard spot to get because only 1 per raid. no one really wants ret paladins and especially prot paladins. pretty much it doesnt matter what you choose as long as its something not retarded because if your decent and can make the times and put the effort in, u get a spot

Vanilla designed mechanic describes each class as Tank, DamageDealer, healer or Support ( hybrid class).

Unfortunately, most of the community never understood the specific role of a jack of all trades who could incarnate different roles depending on the specific situation.

Legions of wannabe-rog druids who are incapable of casting spells and changing roles doesn't really help.

If you pick a hybrid class, it will come a point in which community will force you to strive at itemization and spec to specialize in a pure role, the healer. And you'll be weaker -as a healer-  than a Priest, the class designed to have this role.

Theorycraft fucked this game.

My suggestion is to avoid hybrid classes unless you want to really challenge the absurdity of conventional wisdom.
