Everyone will go and tend to do Gold Run instead free pug. I don't fear if guilds will disband , i know they will disband , experienced it and proven it. /Kind regards Killerduki You know guilds will disband because their members prefer paying gold for the items? Whats the problem with that?

Zarant 2 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 GDKP isn't a new thing, I remember when I played retail TBC, a guild in my server used to host GDKP runs for T5 content before the Zul'Aman release and I really enjoyed it. Having half of the raid in T6 gear helped a lot during Kael and Vashj and the gold earned from those raids were definitely an incentive to keep those players coming. I did the same thing a few months later for sunwell trash farm and it was very successful. The system itself isn't fundamentally flawed but it can lead to some community driven problems, specially in vanilla wow where 3/4 of the raid can carry the rest. What Killerduki is describing seems like a doomsday scenario, I doubt it would be that bad.

It is not doomsday scenario if something was already experienced within private servers , back in the retail rarely someone even used it , in retail there is progression which prevents this system to flow , here in private servers you are limited to specific raiding progression and this system doesn't work properly for that. There is real reason why Kronos banned it and Feenix also get rip by this, not talking this out of tin air but from something that already happened. /Kind regards Killerduki
Gnog 1 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 Killerduki's logic is pretty good. If I'm level 56-60 and not in BiS, do I do group content for those BiS items, or do I farm gold to save for the next GDKP raid? By farming gold, I probably get into MC gear faster than going through a gradual progression of group content. So instead of grouping with others in BRD, LBRS, DM, and the like, I grind gold alone a few hours a day. And so do most other 56-60 who are looking to get into MC gear. The group game (which seems very strong right now) starts to die out, the community bonds weaken, and people leave the server because it feels so much like retail. Yeah, seems pretty plausible actually. Elysium doesn't allow boxing for various reasons, including, presumably, that boxing makes a single person so self-sufficient that they needn't group with others, which gradually degrades the community. The same logic seems to weigh in favor of disallowing gdkp raids. Those items are flagged as No Drop for a reason, after all. GDKP is just a mechanism for circumventing that flag.

Fylgja 3 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 Killerduki doesn't really know what he's talking about, that's not what killed Feenix, it was negligence and corruption. Of course the system has its ugly spots, just like everything. Gotta realize that Feenix already had absurd gold inflation fueled by gold selling (both by chinamen and the server itself) and corrupted staff pooling gold into economy. There was also the little fact that a big portion of the server was extremely overgeared, even alts on Alliance ran around in T3 and other Naxxramas gear. Those factors combined allowed cakewalk BWL/AQ40 pugs (hell, we even had Naxxramas pugs!) and people spending 50k on a single piece. Feenix was a very old and stagnated server that suffered from a lot of corruption during its lifetime, the GDKP fewer hit it on its last days.

If i don't know what i am talking about , then why Kronos banned it? Feel free to explain , the system was allowed in Kronos for 1 year under high project monitoring before they completely ban it. /Kind regards Killerduki
