Camped in winterspring.

Recommended Posts

Hello

Today (18.04.2017) a lvl 60 undead rogue with the name of Garreboll camped me for more then 1hr and 30 minutes. Even when i went into everlook he stood there sapping me while i tried to hearth out of the area at one point i logged out and came back inn about 20 minutes and he was still there. At this point i wish to report him because that is not a part of the "fun" in pvp thats griefing to the fullest preventing me from playing the game what so ever, im a lvl 55 warrior and i have no possible way to get away from him.

Antelic

edit: now he created a alt account and joined my guild to scout, he /w me asking "so how is your day going?" i have screenshots.

Hello, here is our specific rule about Griefing:

D. Griefing

Players can interact in a variety of ways, not all of them constructive. You may encounter players that steal resource nodes, chests, items, lead monsters to new areas and summon demons that raise havoc.

Elysium staff will not intervene in these situations as the community may take measures concerning these players. However, behaviour that is considered to be contrary to the essence of the Game will be considered a violation of this agreement.

Such behaviour is considered griefing which includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Summoning demons at the initial starting zones of new players;
  • Intentionally killing or disabling important quest NPCs for an extended period of time;
  • Intentionally causing any of the four demons for Stave of the Ancients to despawn;
  • Intentionally causing The Cleaner to appear during The Balance of Light and Dark;
  • Intentionally interrupting or negatively influencing a raid group that is currently engaged in ANY world boss encounter on the PvE realm with either faction characters;
  • Intentionally interrupting or negatively influencing a raid group that is currently engaged in ANY world boss encounter on the PvP realms with same-faction characters.

World boss encounters are unique circumstances, and resolution will be determined at the discretion of the attending GM. For same faction on PVP & all raid groups on PVE - we strongly suggest a "first come, first serve" mentality when encountering world bosses.

Killing and sapping you repeatedly just to ruin your day is allowed.  Using a 2nd character to track you if he's on 2 at the same time is not.

What did you do to piss him off so much is my question.

To clarify.
Everlook in Winterspring is a Goblin city and he is allowed log in to two accounts at once if both characters are in a goblin or major city.

VII. Multiboxing
... you may have up to two characters in the same major or goblin city temporarily ...

@antelic - What you are experiencing sucks, no question about that, but it's allowed on Elysium.

The Elysium staff recognizes all play styles to be valid and a part of the game and not harassment. Killing players of your opposing faction, including camping players at spirit healers, corpses and/or gravestones, is considered a part of the game.

Worth to mention is that what you are doing here when you are naming and shaming this player, is also allowed ;)

My best suggestion for you is to have at least one alt character that you can log into and play when/if these things happen.
Whenever I get ganked by the same player twice I always change zone or change character. Usually that's a perfect time to scan the Auction House on my bank alt ;) You just HAVE to accept that you choose to play on a Blizzlike PvP Vanilla server with high population.

Yes but not to stalk players:

"The only exception is that you may have up to two characters in the same major or goblin city temporarily, for trading, crafting, conjuring, portalling or using the Neutral Auction House to transfer items/gold to an alt."

What you are describing is griefing, and the Elysium GMs should recognize that if they have any common sense. Having said that, there are no guarantees that things won't happen on a PvP server, and you would be wise to have some resources of your own - friends/guildies who have your back when times get tough. The GMs can't be there to hold your hand all the time.

I would suspect you did something, he really disliked to one of his lower level alts. Going to that extreme he is obviously pissed at you.

It's not griefing according to the rules and are in fact specifically allowed in the rules. GM's always have the final word though.

If somebody stalks you for more than an hour on multiple toons, that crosses the line into griefing.

anyways, good luck getting anybody banned on this server

Pretty much this...the attitude of the community is a reflection of who is in charge.

Is that your opinion or a factual claim because according to the written rules you are wrong. If I am wrong, please enlighten me.

I mean don't get me wrong, I personally think that behaviour should be banned and agree that it is griefing, but right now, as the rules are written, it is not on Elysium and instead specifically allowed. "The Elysium staff recognizes all play styles to be valid and a part of the game and not harassment.".

nobody cares about the rules, I've reported people who are abusing them to the point of permaban, and not a single day ban was seen or is to be seen anywhere on the horizon.

Not banning players that are breaking the rules is not good but here we are talking about something that is allowed in the rules.

I would say it is extremely much more worse if a GM would ban a player that is not breaking the rules compared to not banning a player that is breaking the rules...
