Pulling the Emperor only in BRD.

I have recently learned that there is a way to skip the non-boss mobs in the emperor's room. Supposedly, you get a hunter/rogue to shoot the emperor, which pulls him (and the whole room of mobs). Immediately after, another player shoots the emperor as well, and the hunter/rogue feigns death/vanishes, which resets his aggro of all the adds that pulled, but since the second player attacked the emperor, he is the only target that will go into battle, while every other mob resets. 

Now, I don't know whether this would be regarded as an exploit or a clever use of game mechanics, and therefore I wanted to ask here if there is a general consensus on this method, because this is very new to me. Considering a lot of Ironfoe farmers are probably already doing this to save a couple of minutes by not clearing the whole room, it would be useful to know whether it's treated as exploitative or not so we don't shoot ourselves in the foot.

Can we get an official statement on this method?

This is an exploit that we actively look for and sanction.

You may not use this kind of "creative use of game mechanics" on any boss.

Does the same go for Captain Kromcrush in a Dire Maul Tribute run (Rogue pull/Vanish rather than using the Ogre Suit)?

Splitting 2 firelords apart in MC is much different than pulling a boss whom is programmed to pull every mob in the room if they are not killed. I could understand how this could be considered an exploit.

I would also appreciate a legit and official response to this... getting conflicting answers. Can we feign death to split pull or not? This tactic is used in many circumstances. In solo environments, dungeons, and raids.

Two GMs have posted in this thread saying that it's an exploit to split pull the emperor in BRD. As far as other situations, I would strongly suggest that you just use a little common sense.

Thank you for the speedy response, Hudson. I figured as such for the Emperor specifically, since that is a mechanic of the fight/room.

What about in other cases? I hope it's appropriate to ask in this thread. I will make a new thread if you would rather me do so.

- Split pulling trash packs. Easily done in Scholomance with caster packs. Shoot a non-caster monster which will run to the group. The casters will stand and cast at the hunter. If someone else hits the monster that walks up and then the hunter feigns, the caster monsters will drop combat.

- Feigning off "extra" pulled hatchers in BWL. Hatchers in BWL suppression room will proximity aggro (or chain aggro, however you want to phrase it) other hatchers. However if you feign death after, only the first hatcher will come to the raid. I know this is sortof splitting hairs but these are tactics in use today and I don't want to see any people suspended/banned.

I meant to add above: Many trash packs can be split pulled in such a way, it's common to see people do this on Firelords in Molten Core as well.

If you do that to solo pull the Emperor in BRD, you will continue to be banned for it. We are hopefully removing the possibility of doing that with this week's maintenance, so it will become a moot point shortly.
