koseku 2 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 What would be an ideal raid combination? 5warr, 5 mage, 5 priest, 5 paladin/shaman, 5 rogue, 5 warlock, 5 druids, 5 hunters?

Oakenlix 79 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 40 druids is ideal. They will get wiped once and then just go to Ashenvale and hug some trees instead of wasting their time in a raid.
Myllz 8 Report post Posted August 16, 2017 This doesn't exist. It depends on specs, faction, encounter, etc.

For example, in AQ40 there is a boss that can requires a lot of frost damage. In this fight, frost mages are prefered over shadow priests.

You need 8 prot warriors because of the debuffs. Back in retail we were lucky on our first kill because we had enough to do it. Some guilds were stuck on the fight due to lack of warriors. So even having fury warriors in guild and then gearing them/having them respec to prot for the fight is worth it. May have some trouble here due to the fast progression having enough geared players for that fight. In the Viscidus example in AQ40 (optional oozling boss) the frost wand from AV also works for any caster capable of equipping wands.
