Keala 28 Report post Posted August 17, 2017 4 hours ago, Phoosy said: It actually wouldn't make any difference at all. Announcing intent and demonstrating purpose to go to TBC wouldn't suddenly make Anathema or Darrowshire viable - everyone would still roll on Elysium to inevitably move to TBC once Elysium does. Without getting a brand new core the Dev team isn't going to magically shit out a fully working TBC realm for Anathema in a reasonable time frame for it to 'save' the servers. People playing on Elysium would just view the Anathema migration to TBC as the PTE for Elysium's inevitable TBC launch (which isn't really much different from now, to be honest). It would actually make me continue playing though, and I've heard the same about so many other Anathema players that are currently unsure about what to do (to play or not to play?). It might not have an immediate effect, but it would help. On top of that, you're making it look like I'm expecting them to have a core and demand from them to announce TBC, while I clearly said that I'm simply confused by all these silly teasers, and I'd be totally fine if they just completely crushed the hopes of everyone by saying "NO, we're not developing TBC and we have no intention to". I just want to know, how is this hard to understand?

Your personal case aside, a lot of others have asked and indicated in your exact wording it would motivate them to stick around as if that would somehow make a difference in the long term - hence my response. I can completely understand and relate on a personal level, though, how nice it would be to really know though, so I won't disparage that. Unfortunately, the Elysium Project's communications standards don't allow for clarity towards the community for a variety of reasons, whether its personal ineptitude or unwillingness to share on the decision makers' parts I do not know.
kick1234567890 0 Report post Posted August 17, 2017 I'm not seeing a problem on Darrowshire, pugs running dungeons all the time. The population we're at now seems perfect to me. I certaintly do not want to lose the pve status on it because some pvpers are angry there arent that many lovbies to gank anymore.
Pottu 290 Report post Posted August 18, 2017 Anathema and Elysium will not be merged as they are on different timelines. We are not currently looking at any options to either accelerate Elysium or "freeze" Anathema. We are still dedicated to bring to the end goal the dream that Nostalrius started - of a proper vanilla server going through the whole vanilla patch progress as closely Blizzlike as possible. So we are not going to вау over the remaining Anathema players and "freeze" their progress to allow Elysium to "catch up". Nor are we going to accelerate Elysium timeline in any major fashion, as that would be a literal slap in the face to most of the players there. Trust me, we have heard all possible arguments for and against this issue. And because this topic is repeatedly brought up, instead of posters reading the existing threads - we do have a search function - we now routinely lock the new threads. It has nothing to do with our communication standards or us being clueless retards.
