Other Server Database Compromise

URGENT - ALL PLAYERS

We have seen more and more accounts getting compromised lately, but were unable to confirm the source. We now have strong evidence to believe that Light's Hope's account database has been compromised and each players account information STOLEN. This was recently confirmed by Sunwell (another private server) - and announced via their social media platforms.

We STRONGLY urge you to change your in-game password immediately on Elysium - ESPECIALLY if you used any form of similar account information on Light's Hope.

To change your password, please log in game and type the following command: [ .account password OLDPASS NEWPASS NEWPASS ] OLDPASS = Your current password / NEWPASS = Password you would like to change to.

Please report to the GM team IMMEDIATELY if you suspect your account may have been compromised.(edited)

Also - be aware that your account security on Elysium is always of the highest priority. We have full time System Administrators ensuring the protection of your player and account data.

This breach was on another private server (Light's Hope), and in the off chance you use the same information here as on LH, its important for you to change your password on Elysium.

This is why I completely created a new account at Elysium after ditching Lemmings Hope permanently. LH knew my old account details. Fresh server with fresh account creation for the win. I would recommend doing that to other Elysium players, create new accounts with different login info and not the same as other private servers login's, at least as a back up account option if you don't want to use new accounts for your main and most used alts. I was very happy with my new account when Elysium relaunched and I am still happy, for the record, and I use the new account instead.

My account is currently saying temporarily suspended. I was on vacation for two weeks and not sure if it was because I attempted to enter my password too many times last night (because I couldn't remember it right away) or if because it was compromised. I thought it would reset the next day, but it is still saying it and I reset my password twice now. Should I fill out a ban form or is there a way I can tell how or why it was suspended or for how long?

Reset your password and wait at least 40 minutes before trying again. Be very sure you are typing the password correctly. Be wary that sometimes people copy/paste their passwords from other forms, emails, documents etc. Sometimes this adds an extra space before or after your password and you will ban yourself on accident due to too many login attempts.

In other news: there were so many reports, ban appeals and security issues we had to put them into one giant bucket and hide in the very bottom of the board. Because this is how priority works.

You type it into your chat box. Dont forget the . at the beginning.
