How much gold can we take to tbc

I cant find the amount of gold we can take to the tbc server. Thought ive readed somewhere its 1000 gold.  ( would be good for balance since any more could affect econemy).

Can some one verify this?

Since this is a COPY of your character from Nighthaven to TBC, the plan right now - and this could change so bear with us - is NOT to limit from Nighthaven to TBC. Just as it was in retail.

We may REMOVE all the gold from the character version that stays on Nighthaven (Gold xfer to TBC) or limit it so that you say end up with 5g on Nighthaven if you copy the toon to TBC or something like that. It's not set in stone yet, but this is where our heads are for now. We will obviously finalize and make a much more official announcement as we get closer.

there needs to be a way to stop people on vanilla giving all their gold to one character then copying it over then copying all that gold to another and copying that one over and doing it over and over and over. Even with multiple accounts. i'd say no gold gets copied over. Its the only way to make sure there is no cheating.  Gold is easy enough to get.

He already mentioned that we will likely be removing the gold form the original NH toon. That will prevent such behaviour.
