Hater 14 Report post Posted December 17, 2018 I have a 60 Shaman that i want to go Alliance at TBC launch. Will this be possible? I have the Elysium coins to complete the service, and played a Shaman when TBC was current content, I want to do it again. Will Elysium allow this?

Zancon 117 Report post Posted December 17, 2018 You will not be able to complete this faction change until after server first HordeΒ Paladin and server first Alliance Shaman.

So I log in and make a alliance Shaman (smart ass comment, I know), then I can faction change? or lvl 60? 70? 60 would make more sense since any faction changes would be from lvl 60 to level 60....

Why would any faction changes be 60 to level 60? YouΒ won't be excluded from leveling any chars, unless Elysium for whatever reason decides to go back on their word from a continuation server to a fresh, with copies not happening till after first 1-60/70 fresh. So when the Faction Change becomes available, you can expect those planning to change from Horde to Alliance as Shamans will be 70, and vice versa for Paladins.
Hater 14 Report post Posted December 18, 2018 (edited) I wont be running my Shaman Horde side, Ill be leveling it Alliance side, and its already level 60.... so 60 to 60. So when someone levels a shaman alliance to 60, the current Shaman 60s should be able to start Outland at that level. Β I have ZERO desire to run Horde, I ran Horde on Nost (where my ShamanΒ started its life), everyone I play with ere is Alliance. buckshaq 0 Report post Posted December 18, 2018 what is being said is that you can level it to 70 as horde and then faction transfer. no reason to sit on it at 60 until you are able to faction transfer.
TheDeathSonata 2 Report post Posted December 18, 2018 So just to be clear,we have to wait for server first lvl 70 alliance shaman and horde pally, then we can faction swap regardless of what lvl our own character is?
Zancon 117 Report post Posted December 18, 2018 There will be no faction swaps until there is a horde 70 paladin and an alliance 70 shaman that has been leveled from 1-70 - just like in retail. Once that is complete I don't *THINK* there will be any other restrictions on level and faction change but at this time that is not a *FACT*. We will have to await official announcements from Rain and the development team.

Soulcatcher 2 Report post Posted December 19, 2018 Zancon, hello, just to clarify: Regarding possible restrictions you've mentioned - are you referring just to Shaman/Paladin "switch" here, or to any faction change (that is currently possible through Elysium website services?) For example, if level 60 Human mage wants to change faction (and race), becoming level 60 Blood Elf mage - then is it possible right at the very start of Burning Crusade server launch? Or need to level up to 70 with this Human mage first, and only then the race/faction change option becomes available?
Zancon 117 Report post Posted December 19, 2018 This is how I understand it from the development team; The applicable server first races need to be complete before the faction change will be active. Directly to your question above, I do not think you can faction change straight away from a 60 human to a 60 blood elf. Someone needs the first 60 blood elf before it's allowed. An achievement needs to be had for whatever it is you are trying to do, before it's allowed. Also upon launch and character copy to the TBC server we will probably disable all faction and race changes for a period of time to make sure we get all the copies done correctly. As another example expanding on your own example above; You are a beast of a Human Mage. You get to 70 quickly and are Server first level 70, Server first Alliance 70, Server first Human 70, and Server First 70 Mage. You take bulk of the possible server firsts. Now you log out and go try and faction change to Blood Elf on the Horde - it will not allow it. Just expect not to be able to faction or race change for an amount of time. That amount of time is all the server first races need to be complete. I can't tell you how long that will be, because I don't know who is leveling what and at what speed on something that has not been released yet. As we get closer to TBC there will be clearer announcements from the team.
