Getting a lua error when I log into the game

How do I get this to appear ingame?

Download the zip, unpack it and put the contents of this folder into your interface/AddOns directory

Mine doesnt seen to be extracting from the .zip with out 310 errors.

Fixed. I am very sorry for this.

Same here :S frustrating

Works now, downloaded it from another site: https://classicaddons.com/index.php?/file/20-dpsmate/

The error is fixed. Please don't use downloadlinks from third parties. This one is terribly out of date, you won't be able to sync with anyone and have a worse experience overall with this addon.

cheers!

I got the latest version. For some reason I can only view DPS and Damage, no other values. In older versions I could see DPS, damage, healing, HPS, Decurse and TONS of other stuff. What did I miss?

He explains that in his release notes:

Quote

Completly restructured DPSMate to decrease the loading time depending on how many modules are enabled now.
You can now choose which modules you'd like to activate. With all modules activated the loading time is around 3 seconds, the default module loads in 0.12s.

If a module is not activated, it is not going to be tracked to save memory and performance

Added legacylog option which has to be enabled to track for legacy logs

Yes but the "hidden modules list" in the config is just empty for me, I cant activate any further modules because there are none".

If you unpack the zip, you should have a folder containing lots of folders.

These you gotta put into the directory.

Try this link

I dont understand why there is an option for legacy logs in the addon now, If i wanted to send data to legacy logs i'd launch wow with the launcher, why the redundant extra variable? So i gotta have legacy logs box checked and use the launcher?

The launcher will enable it automatically anyway. However the use is here:
If you want to collect all data but NOT have all modules enabled.

So it is basically a bypass to continue collecting all data although these modules are deactivated.

cheers!

My dps mate updated itself with the launcher now it wont open in game, it apparently is still recording data, but it wont show the meter window. Any idea why? Two other people from my guild are having the same issue.

It's still entirely unclear to me how to get the other modules to show up in the "hidden" list in the config window ingame. Could you please explain in absolute detail what steps I need to take?

Step 1: Download DPSMate

Step 2: Unpack it

Step 3: Open the folder (look into it)

Step 4: Copy the 38 folders that are inside the unpacked folder

Step 5: Paste them into your wow Interface/AddOn directory

Step 6: ????

Step 7: Profit

Thank you. That did the trick. At first I thought they where all suppose to be in the root folder called "DPSMate".

try /dps.

If it does not give you options, then you have probably not installed it correctly.

Else it should be showing up on startup.

Also make sure that you have Build 97.
