Edwin Van Queef 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Hi, I've been having trouble downloading a torrent site as my computer (windows 10) doesn't let me download them for some reason, I noticed this mega disk however and saw it was a 5 gig Download, am curious as to wether that means I can just download it and play or do I need to use a program like Winrar to extract etc? Cheers!

gotmilk0112 10 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Don't know why they said it was a virus? It has worked fine for me so far Because I've never heard anyone refer to Mega as "Mega Disk". It's not called Mega Disk, it's just called "Mega" now. Do I need Winrar to extract it or is it ready as soon as I download it? It's a zip file.

Holkan 13 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 The downloads them selves are probably virus free. Where people see viruses is when they go to torrent websites without noscript / ad block and spyware pops up. Saw a post about the classic windows hijack pop up that speaks to u and is semi difficult to exit out of it. These pop ups are common on alot of torrenting sites while the torrents them selves are fine. There's usually also ads that look like download link to make you click them that can give you spyware as well.
MisterRay 0 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Downloaded from the Elysium website, link was completely fine!
Jakira 22 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 The links on the website should be fine. I tested all the links myself and as long as you have a decent pop up blocker, UBlock Origin, etc. You should be fine. I downloaded them all and there are no viruses on my computer. Pottu 290 Report post Posted November 28, 2016 Do I need Winrar to extract it or is it ready as soon as I download it? You do need to extract it. I would recommend 7-zip as it's slightly faster than WinRar and it doesn't nag you about registering, plus it supports literally every possible archive format.
