Fresh Start or my lvl 40 UD? Help me.

I have a decision Problem. I was very happy when i finally reached lvl 40 with my UD Mage on Nost. I had my Mount and was ready to finally go to Tanaris. Then the Server went down. I haven't seen Tanaris and beyond Zones in Years.

 

I was then on Kronos and on Elysium (before they made a fusion with Nost) and was not able to go over 25. So i am pretty tired of the Starting Zones and Barrens and Hillsbrad. I think about a fresh start but on the other Hand i wanna continue lvling my UD Mage 40 to finally see Tanaris, Hinterlands, Un goro, Plaguelands ect. again. 

 

Someone can help me with my decision?

Why not both? Continue with your old character and also start a new, fresh character on a fresh realm?

My personal preference is the fresh realm. Everybody is new on the realm. And I always liked the phase of a new addon on retail servers when everyone was "low level" ^^

I have almost exact same issue bro. See my thread "I need your 2 cents!". I am also not really interested in starting all over again as I can't wait for the content right ahead. I am totally going to continue to play my Elysium char on the old Nost PvP server as I've put a lot of work in it. It's been played to perfection basically. Stick to your char and get to the content you're excited about quickly instead of repeating same content you just experienced again for many weeks. We are right there with our chars ! They are launching the old Nost server first so we're going to play on our old chars first anyway. If it doesn't feel right or whatever we will still be able to make a switch to another server (although I doubt this will happen).

 

See you in high lvl zones, dungeons and raids!

Fresh start always has refreshing effect. Gonna abandon 6/8 T2 Hunter, altho in last week on Nost i finally got Rhok'Delar Quest done and T2 Shoulders +gold for Epic Mount.

 

Funny thing that day before Shut Down Announcement guild's main hunter got Chromagus Crossbow after farming it for 4 months hahahahaha

Well at least they'll be able to use it when/if they come back.   Since it was before announcement.   Nice present waiting for them.    I got my Band of Accuria the evening before announcement myself.   Used 1/3 of my lifetime DKP for it.

Seriously start fresh. Just do it. You won't regret it. The list of reasons is endless, but these reasons stand out for me - there will be MORE people than on Nostalrius and nobody has gold, nobody has gear, everyone is going to be in the same level range, nobody has done MC, every dungeon is going to be harder from 1-60 because you have no twinks,when you get to scholo etc, nobody is going to have any epics so it's going to be that much harder, and most important, THE WORLD PVP BATTLES! They're going to be HUGE, and everyone is going to be the same damn level!!!!!!!!! No twinks! Ultra fairness. It's going to be amazing man! There will be so many people. Come on! Join fresh!

Mahh the same stuff, i have 49lvl warlock on Nost, with all stuff (proff, mount etc) And i don't wanna start on new server, cuz its really long to lvl up. But in new fresh server everyone the same gear like you, so you can easy PVP or PVE

You'll be raiding within 2 weeks if you are already 49.   Locks are always needed.   While their entry level damage is low, their end game damage is top notch for range dps.

If you'd lose a completely stacked character, then i'd have a hard time deciding too. But even if you're fed up with the starting zones ... imagine: A fresh realm, lots of action in the low level zones, a complete vanilla feeling and the chance to make "your mark" on this new server.

Fresh if you want to start... fresh? And everything else that comes with the ridiculousness/craziness of  thousands of players starting out at the same time.

 

Otherwise just keep playing your mage and enjoy a smoother ride. When you hit 60 you will have a harder time when pvp'ing till you get more geared. (Unless you don't give a фекал about pvp.) PVE will be fine regardless.

Totally agree. Do both. Don't think you have to rush.One of the things i really don't like about retail wow and MMO's in generally is back in the day (yes I'm older) we didn't RUSH to max level and raid. There was no real raiding in vanilla.. to speak of. Not for a long time. People took their time to learn the game to level to make friends. That is what made the game fun... The journey..

 

Let me repeat that..

 

The JOURNEY...

 

So don't feel you have to rush.. take  your time enjoy the game. Make friends. Help others. This is the way good MMO's work.
