Population - Horde or Alliance?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'll keep this short. I didn't play Nostalrius. I'm joining the new PVP server with a few friends, raiding isn't a huge priority (mostly PVP orientated group).

We are wondering if anyone has a rough idea of what to expect regarding the population. We don't mind playing either faction, we just want to join on the one with less players.

Any insight would be helpful.

Thanks

Nost ended pretty even 52 percent alli 48 percent horde.

Though if PvP is your main priority, a larger percentage of horde queue battlegrounds compared to alli.

So Alli get instant queue and horde have to world PvP honor farm while waiting for queue to pop.

population balance for the fresh realm is not known yet, obviously.

Suggest you just wait till release and monitor the situation first before making a decision. Cause i have been on the side of 20-60 minute ques and i can tell you it SUCKS.

It's true, Alliance BG queues are significantly shorter than Horde. For that reason alone I've decided to roll Alliance on the fresh PvP server. I see it as more world PvP, faster BG queues, DEADMINES, and overall I just like the Alliance zones way more than Horde, albeit I hate the Alliance. Does this mean I'd hate myself? ;(

I'm gona guess you won't be able to feel the difference.

There will be too many players on both sides of the fence to make it matter.

Also bear in mind that there are only 3 servers, and this has to house all of us (and the rest that will come, just like it was on Nost)

It'll be fine :D

You're right. I'm just thinking about how the queue was at 60 6 months after Nost came out for Horde. I had anywhere between 1-30 minutes queue time for AB and WSG. AV was almost always instant though, but AV can be the blah if you're looking to farm rank. Gotta admit, I do like wreaking havoc on low level alliance towns. No doubt Alliance hate it more than Horde xD

Edit: Havoc on low level towns is the trade off for instant queue :P

I normally used those que times to HS to Kargath, then run to Searing Gorge between the gates of BRM and Thorium Point. Some good gank spot cause there is a constant stream of 60s running to BRM. Pretty good honor aswell considering you aren't in a BG.
