Ever been called useless only because the class/spec you prefer to play ? Ever played one of those "crap" specs that no one wants to see in their Vanilla end-game group ? Ever really believed that only 9 out of 27 specs are "viable" and everything else is just crap ? I say BOLLOCKS !!!!! Retribution Paladin is VIABLE ! Arcane Mage is VIABLE !! Moonkin Druid is VIABLE !!! If the Light is on our side we will prove it on this realm ! Hopefully the "Useless" will gather up all those oppressed, unhappy and miserable Boomkins, Retardins, Arcanists, non-tanking warriors, disciplined priests, survival experts, etc into one group and wreak havoc across the lands of Azeroth !!! And when we do - we'll sure as hell let 'em know they got waxed by the "useless" specs !!!! By Topper McNabb's coin purse, I say !!!!

I KeK at this one. To OP, there is SOME utility that some of these specs can bring. Issue is 95% and that is probably low balling it, only play said sub-par spec at 20% of its performance cap +failing at their utility.

Go look at the Shammy streamer advertisement in the Shaman class threads for a perfect example.

Most of these "meme-specs" are capable of pushing just over 500 dps at best performance over the course of MC+BWL with BiS gear, and bring their extra utility. Personally I have no issue with a few snowflakes that carry their weight. But most do not carry their weight, they get carried, and truly believe that are helping with 100dps, MAYBE 200dps. If you call them out on it, first thing you will hear is "realmplayers is broken, I was higher than that...."

The rivers of Egypt flowing through these people's mind is overwhelming.

I wouldn't complain if they implemented some kind of 'Choose your spec' upon receiving gear for a hybrid class. I.e., since raid gear doesn't cater to feral, I wouldn't complain if there was either gear drops FOR feral (obviously these items would have to be created), or an option to choose what spec you want the gear to be upon picking up. i.e. tier 1 boots drop for druid. You would then have the option to select a feral/original stat type.

 

   Only because it's pointless to raid as retribution, feral and enhancement due to lack of class spec gear.

 

  Shrug. This is specifically why I am not rolling a paladin/shaman/druid. I love healing, but not THAT much.

That's like saying, "You leveled to 60 as enhancement shaman and LOVED IT. You won't care though, that you have to respec as Resto if you want to experience end-game. Furthermore, even if you stayed enhancement, you will not have gear oriented towards your spec, therefore you will always be inferior to any meta class/spec unless you farm for the subpar non-tier gear which will take infinitely longer to obtain than the superior metaspec gear. "

 

  I agree, play what you love and you won't care.. until you realize that you're going to have to farm each individual dungeon/raid 100 times over for a single piece of BiS that won't have a powervalue near that of a tier drop which will take less time to obtain.

Indeed, but, if he doesn't care that he needs to have extra work and he'll still be under performing, and if he has friends who are willing to play alongside him, even under those conditions, then I say: Let him play.

By that logic fury warriors would do terrible dps. But since this server aims to be blizzlike, I can save myself the hassle of explaining why certain specs suck. Lucky me.
