jesse220 0 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 Hey guys, I'm a bit conflicted about which server to choose. I know this topic has been beaten to death, and I'm not looking for anyone to actually play the game for me, but hear me out. I have a level 40 alliance warlock on the PVP Nost. server. I want to play warlock, there is no doubt about that. I originally planned to scrap the warlock and just start a new one on the fresh server. However, it occurred to me that I would be raiding MC and then BWL for more than a year on the new server, and that I possibly just want to see AQ and Naxx instead of waiting all that time. Do you guys think ill be at a really big disadvantage playing on the old server, not even being level 60? Im obviously behind the curve, but do you guys think population will be an issue? An issue finding five man groups? Might I be better off just going with the fresh, enduring MC (Which im not the biggest fan of) , BWL (which I enjoy), and then finally getting to AQ next summer? Or should I just go with the character I already have, and just rush him to 60. I understand no one actually has an answer, Im just looking for osme advice, a little insight. Thank you all in advance.
Docholy 4 Report post Posted December 8, 2016 The Nost pvp server sounds like it will get you to your goal faster. Plenty of raid teams have room for locks and since the server is restored not everyone will be back. You'll get fed gear since BWL/MC is a one day farm and you'll have time to pvp/grind gold to get the other stuff needed to raid in AQ. I hit 60 a week after BWL and in one week I had the gear to raid BWL (BIS dungeon gear is pretty strong, and the new dungeon gear introduced for BWL is even stronger.)
soulzek 3 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 since the old servers are coming first, just play there and by the time the new server is out then you'll already know your answer

Thank you all in advance. About a week ago I was in your shoes. Pretty sure I wanted to start freshy fresh, didn't really care about my old character since I wanna play another class and faction this time. But then I found this thread (https://forum.elysium-project.org/index.php?showtopic=23914), which I really recommend you to look into. I'm not going to repeat the reasons listed in there, just wanted to say that I have made up my mind and going for a new character in the old PvP Nost. Now, go ahead and read it for yourself but if I were you, I'd stick to your old warlock, unless you want to change the faction or race. Have fun!
Stephen 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 Yeah I was committed to to starting fresh to stay in the loop with leveling but I'm leaving in April to travel so really I should just continue what I have on nost and progress as far as I can in the time I have, you should be fine, it will be overpopulated but I bet there is alot more people leveling, compared to level 60s raiding, you won't be alone.
Mealticket 0 Report post Posted December 9, 2016 I know my guild, which was 6/8 bwl, is going to probably be in desperate need for locks very soon. Since you can't raid during the holidays... It will probably be weeks before we settle back in. I'm sure there are plenty more in this boat.
